BCID is unique in that Bridget brings to each of our clients' projects, her personal goal to help each client uncover and develop their individual style. The end result: our clients feel "at home" in a space that is truly theirs. BCID's role is to create innovative design solutions that are tailored to each project, client, and that give credence to existing architectural elements while guiding clients to assemble all the "parts", and to manage the design process from conceptual conversations through to installations.
Bridget's work as a design professional began while in college, working under a well-established upholsterer / designer in residential projects throughout Westchester, Fairfield, CT, and NYC. Formal training followed, in a number of design and art programs, including Rhode Island School of Design, New England School of Art and Design, New York Art Students League, and New York School of Interior Design.
As a practicing painter and sculptor, Bridget continued to develop her fine art and design skills; and as an art teacher of 10 years, Bridget guided art students to express their unique vision...skills that have translated to interior design work that is unique and personal to each client and home.
Feeling a pull to practice her art as a designer, Bridget transitioned in 2010, to her "first love", interior design. An opportunity to work with JWH Design and Cabinetry and JWH Construction Management, in Rye, gave Bridget a chance to hone her design skills "in-the-field" with a cabinetry design and construction company that values excellence and high attention to detail throughout design and renovation projects, and with a special focus on renovating kitchens and bathrooms.
Against this background, Bridget's clients' demands evolved naturally towards involvement with more of her projects' interior design and interior decorating details. With her clients' urging, Bridget was inspired to branch out on her own in 2015, to focus on a broader involvement with details that include soft furnishings and custom furnishings, while continuing to manage renovation projects from initial concept through management of construction details and installations of soft furnishings.
Bridget's unique training, practical in-the-field skills, innate design talent and color sense, ensure for her clients: a cohesive style and color voice, innovative design solutions, and a commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
