Sunset Landscape and Design

These guys are amazing! We used them this past summer for a huge rock wall replacement, which was phase 1 in a much needed backyard overhaul. My favorite part of their work is the beautiful stairway and the curved wall which retreats beyond to the property line. (I wish I knew how to upload pictures.) We started our project with a hazard on our hands, a weakened rock (boulder) wall that was in danger of sliding with potential harm to our house. To complicate matters, the wall is located in the least easily accessible area of our yard. These guys came in quickly and carefully removing the existing wall and a few days later left us with a beautiful Allan Block retention wall. Before starting this project, my husband interviewed eleven companies total. The thing that impressed us the most about Sunset was not just the reasonable price, which it definitely was, but the confidence displayed by the owner regarding what needed to be done and how to achieve that safely, not to mention his confidence in his crew to do the job well. AND it was done exceedingly well! We hope to be able to work with them again when we start the next phase of our project.

This contractor completed the design and then did all the installation for a new patio made from concrete pavers, approximately 18' by 24' in size. Work included new edging on raised planting beds and integrating patio into existing paths, planter boxes, deck and stairway. Work was started and finished on the dates originally provided. Cost was exactly as quoted. Workmanship was excellent and we appreciated how they took care of existing plants and shrubs. We would use them again without reservations and would highly recommend them to others. A great experience overall.

Sunset Landscape & Design provided me with a detailed design for my front yard, incorporating my love of rocks and animals as well as my desire for low-maintenance yard work. It turned out so beautiful - all of my neighbors have complimented it and I couldn't be more pleased with the end result. They provided a slate rock with my address and a small paw print etched on it, which makes me happy every time I see it. We're not done yet - we're adding in a slate walkway and patio as soon as my new driveway is ready. They were so nice to work with, always respectful, responsive, and sensitive to keeping the costs down. I would highly recommend this company!
