Breuhaus

Ordered a TV/media unit, checked wi the seller that pre-cristmas delivery could be guaranteed. No TV unit come christmas, but promised a full refund in writing, after many phone calls, being passed from one person to the next, each denying responsibility or any authority to provide redress. At one stage, I was told only the managing director could authorise a refund, but that she was on maternity leave! No refund and no response to communication over the christmas period. Then miraculaously , 2 weeks later, a response vi email saying that they had "found our TV unit" in their storeroom, and therefore could not provide a refund. I asked for photos of the unit, which they sent. the photos show terrible staining, drawers misaligned, different handles to those advertised, poor welds on the metalwork and deep scratches on the top of the unit. I have refused delivery and they have subsequently refused to correspond.

I found that Breuhaus would do the industrial pipe shelving and based on their pictures and the fact that they used threaded pipe and fittings I contacted them to see if they could build a custom made shelving unit. After a week with no reply I sent another email... still no reply until I called and the person on the other side had to sift through their emails to get the emails I sent. They agreed that they could do the unit. I designed the unit with all measurements needed and sent it over and paid the quoted price. After 6 weeks for building this in the shop, the shelving unit is delivered but a shelf is missing (no word back from breuhaus after several emails to them about the missing shelf). And when I look at the material, I notice that the person cutting the pipe didn't take into account tolerances and sizes of the fittings and not only that they did not send threaded pipe fittings but normal clamps that I could have bought myself at alvinkeyclamps for example. So overall, I paid for some wooden shelves that I could have gotten made at B&Q with a very rushed and poor staining job (that was still fresh on delivery despite the 6 weeks waiting time) and a very poor paint job on the clamps and pipe that started to peel off due to the transportation. So overall, just stay away from them or pay on delivery to avoid being ripped off and having someone reply to your complaints.

We bought a lovely oak table from Breuhaus. It is an absolutely beautiful piece of furniture and all our friends comment on it. It was made to order which didn't affect the price a lot, which makes a change! The company were very friendly and it was easy to get updates on progress. We were also sent photographs of the completed table before delivery. Would definitely recommend and look forward to purchasing from Breuhaus again.

Absolutely terrible!!!! Do not use this company. Please do not waste your time money and a lot of effort to buy from this horrendous company. Items eventually arrive damaged, not to specification and the company are very difficult to get hold of. This is a real sham of a company selling goods not matching the description on their website. They photos do not represent the items they send out.
