Wernerfield Architecture were professionals day 1 and were very easy to work with and interact with. They listened carefully to what we wanted and brought their own unique ideas to the project. They worked well with the contractor, which is crucially important, and were willing to revise plans to fit within our budgetary constraints and the building constraints -- a mid-century building. They have a compelling sense of style that they bring to each project. I highly recommend them.

Choosing Wernerfield to design our home was one of the best decisions we made in manifesting our dream. Braxton and Paul are professional, thorough and exacting in their attention to detail. Their seamless teamwork and leadership behind the scenes allowed us as homeowners to relax in the process. Wernerfield’s design has a grace of simplicity and purity of line. This use of light and line, accentuating shape and shadows is an understated elegance that finely avoids any pretense of over engineering. There is a continuity and consistency of space…..with incredible attention to small details. Even though a picture paints a thousand words, the images can never capture the energy and the feel of being in the space. The ‘presence’ of a Wernerfield creation is priceless and timeless. It cannot be put into words but may very well be the ‘raison d’etre’ of the build. For this and more, we will be forever grateful to Braxton and Paul. Brax Werner and Paul Field both care deeply about architecture and attention to detail and are down-to-earth in communication with their clients and contractors. In my case, I took my own house design to a certain level on my own before asking them to get involved. Brax jumped in and worked magic on my fledgling plans to achieve an end result that was greatly improved. After a hiatus due to my own delays with approvals and contractors, Paul then jumped through some quick hoops to get changes made. In each case, they were clear about how quickly they'd be able to work my project in, and in each case over-delivered on turn-around, and always with excellent guidance and care as to the end result.

This architect team created our dream house along with within winning a local chapter of an AIA Honor design award making both of us proud. They envisioned a lot more than we thought possible and followed thru with our builder thru completion. They made it happen!
