While we are happy with the overall quality of our home, we were dissatisfied with the lack of communication and transparency throughout the building process. The initial sales experience with the realtor is less than desirable and leaves you with the feeling of having worked with a used car salesman (in the stereotypical sense - no offense to those in that profession). There does not seem to be consistency with the information that is provided. For example, lots may be available, but as soon as you express interest in one, magically someone else is looking to purchase that lot right away. You may not get pricing numbers for a couple weeks but once you do, magically someone is interested in the lot so you have to make a decision asap or you'll "lose" the lot. Often times, prices are removed from "price lists" or if provided, different numbers are given down the road after it's been determined what you want. In my experience, if you are confident in the quality of what you are selling or have even a modicum of sales skills, these amateur tactics need not be used. Also, throughout the process note that you will generally only get a response to the exact question you ask. You will get no additional information, some of which will be relevant. Further, the very small staff is stretched thin and because of that, you have to keep a close eye on your selections and modifications; if you do not catch a mistake early enough, and there will be plenty of mistakes, you will be stuck with what they did. This was not an isolated experience, as I have spoken to at least six others who have built and had very similar, if not worse experiences. Again, two stars as we are happy with the home but extremely dissatisfied with the overall experience.

I have gotten to know Brad Groome and his business through a builder group that meets on a regular basis and thus have some fairly thorough knowledge of his business and its practices. I can with confidence state that this is a high quality operation that focuses on customer satisfaction and is managed professionally and competently. I am very comfortable recommending this company and I feel that this is a custom builder that anyone should feel confidant and comfortable with entrusting them with the responsibility of building of their dream home. Definitely worth the time to meet with them and see what they do if you are looking for a good builder.

Before I recommend any contractor, I always ask myself if I'd hire them for my own home. As a professional myself, I get to see a lot of the good, the bad and the ugly. I can unequivocally say, I'd love to own a Bradford Custom home. There are many reasons why but two that stand out are trust and quality. Brad, Brandi and their team take keep their promises. It's a not-so-common trait these days. And the quality of their homes is second to none. For example, they recently built a custom home with a transitional facade to blend-in with the neighborhood and a modern interior to suit their customer's tastes. The transition between the two styles was flawless and the details were beautiful.

company was great to work with, very timely, I made several adjustments because I had trouble deciding exactly what I wanted but they were very friendly and offered solid solutions to my seemingly complex issues. It was nice being able to work with a small company that was responsive to my needs and easy to reach. Our experience working with Bradford Custom Homes couldn't have been more wonderful. They helped us find the house plan that fit our needs exactly, and worked closely with us throughout the home building process to make sure everything was just the way we had imagined it. The project finished right on schedule and they made sure everything was perfect for us before we moved in. They offered us the kind of personal attention that made us feel like our job was their number one priority. So many of our friends have told us horror stories about how stressful it was to build their home, but our experience was not like that at all! The entire process was really fun and exciting.
