Moving from California to Nashville, where I had used Decorating Den Interiors twice, I was so happy to find Bohnne Jones. She is by far the best interior designer I have ever worked with. After explaining my needs and wants, she came up with creative solutions. She was able to see my vision and make it a reality. She listened to what I had to say, and brought me beautiful pieces to choose from, that included window treatments, rugs, furniture and artwork. She was able to beautifully integrate my existing pieces as well. Bohnne met all deadlines that she gave me and, most importantly, stayed within the budget I gave her. She is an award winner with pictures of my beautiful home published in the book Love Your Home by Carol Donayre Bugg. Not only did I find a great designed, I found a friend.

I never write reviews as I'm typically easy to please and try to be understanding when let down. Not so, with Bohnne Jones at the Decorating Den. I contacted her to help furnish my newly purchased home and discussed a budget on the phone being told it was within reason. An appointment in my home discussing the furnishing goals yielded the same results: my budget was tight but could be done. I even said I could go a little over for something I loved which, to me, meant maybe an additional 20%. I ensured her that if this wasn't a good fit, I'd understand, and do it myself. When we finally had our appointment to select specific items it was five weeks later (three weeks longer than agreed upon), took three hours, and the basic items selected for us totaled 240% of the budget we agreed upon and didn't even accomplish all of our goals. Blaming this on a young designer who 'doesn't understand budgets' she tried again and presented a design at about 200% of our budget telling me 'things cost what they cost'. In the end, I purchased an overpriced table and chairs out of awkwardness and lost a deposit. She over promised and under delivered while being late to every single meeting. I found pieces at Macy's she initially suggested at 40% the price she would have charge me. I furnished my home within my budget with reputable retailers such as West Elm and Macy's and, honestly, looks far better than her design. Do it yourself or go somewhere else.

Ali, I'm sorry that you feel you had a bad experience, and want you to know that I would be happy to discuss your concerns with you personally. I try to be respectful of my client's budgets, and one of the ways Decorating Den Interiors helps save money versus other designer's pricing is by not charging for our time when you are purchasing products from us. Our products may not always be the least expensive, and I try to let clients know that, and why.

We do take a retainer (not a deposit) to help cover the design fees, should you choose to purchase elsewhere, as you did. I'm happy you liked our design - we noticed, when we personally delivered your new table and chairs, that you furnished your home very much as we designed. I'm sure that the 3 hour appointment helped you understand why some things should work well within the layout of your home.

During our initial phone call, I always ask if there is any event or time issue that we need to consider, and your answer was 'no'. This was a good thing, as I had some extenuating life circumstances, and the table you purchased was custom designed, and made in Canada, to fit your limited space as well as possible. Custom takes much longer than buying off the shelf.

Bohnne Jones was a lifesaver! Our old furniture and décor just didn’t work in our new home. First, Bohnne listened and got to know our taste on the basics of theme, color and style. Then she guided us expertly through a bewildering set of furniture, fabric, and artistic choices. The family room was a complete make over. She learned our interests and tastes remarkably quickly and assembled fantastic designs for our Kitchen and Living room. As good as our initial experience was, she topped it when we called her back to do a full office makeover. We are repeat customers of Decorating Den, Nashville (Bohnne Jones and John Woodward). They are both so talented, professional and a pleasure to work with. My husband and I are amazed at how easy a project comes together when we turn to Decorating Den for assistance. We have searched stores and online sources for ideas, but selecting the proper scale and color is difficult for us and results in "analysis paralysis." Bohnne and John have saved us from ourselves on more than one occasion and have ideas we could never come up with on our own. We highly recommend their services.

I have had the pleasure of having 3 areas in my home redesigned by Bohnne Jones....a bathroom, living room and a family room. The Bathroom was transformed with a new custom built vanity, modern designed sink, built in tub enclosure, refurbished tub, , mirrors, and wallpaper with modern design The Living Room was rendered much more attractive and comfortable with furniture rearrangement, multiple new pillow covers, base for large glass topped dining area table, new rug, multi-purpose table-hassock, and sleek new draperies as well as large retractable shade. Multiple wall hangings were hung in a very attractive arrangement enhancing entire room. The family room area was changed into a relaxed, comfortable space with built-in wall unit with shelves and drawers, new table lamp, and new lamp shades, new TV table to facilitate re-location of TV from a media center. Wall hangings were selected and placed in very attractive arrangements. Bohnne Jones and staff worked diligently to get the desired results as determined per planning before project was begun, were well-organized and prepared, punctual, professional, and personable.

They had an expansive amount of ideas and products to address some very difficult and unique problems associated with some of the room configurations with my home. The result of working with them was a success that everyone sees when they who come into my home.
