Bogman Design/Build AKA GreenBuiltCottages

We had Adrian and team add a bathroom to our partially finished basement. The remodel involved multiple components, but Adrian walked us through each step of the process. The project was completed within our budget and we were happy with the final product. The only reason I deduct a star is because at times communication could be unclear but ultimately we would be able to get it resolved. Overall we appreciated what Adrian and team delivered especially with the difficulties of doing this project during a pandemic!

Adrian and Dave were great to work with! Both were easy to communicate with. Project was completed on time and on budget.

We enjoyed working with Bogman Design & Construction on our backyard cottage. Adrain designed the cottage and had many innovative ideas throughout to keep our project as green as possible, and to keep costs down. He encouraged my interest in working on some of the time and labor intensive tasks myself in order to save money. He was patient and encouraging in teaching me some new skills. Some of the fun repurposed materials in our cottage include bleachers from Ballard High School as interior walls, reclaimed beams in the framing, and old doors as insulation. We are so thankful to have a beautiful, bright, warm office to work in just steps away from our noisy home.

My husband and I were very impressed with Adrian! We've worked with other consultants in the past for major home projects, and Adrian really stood out. HIs attention to detail and innovative ideas were impressive as he consulted us on our 3rd floor home expansion project. Adrian demonstrated deep knowledge on these types of projects and put our minds at ease about our various options for this project. We look forward to future projects with Adrian!

I have to recommend Adrien Popescu for his professionalism, environmentally conscientiousness as well as expertise and insight. He is the best at what he does! I used Adrian as a consultant to start my kitchen renovation. He had beautiful and "GREEN" kitchen design ideas that were so innovative! Schedules didn't quite match so I ended up using another kitchen contractor and renovated my kitchen ($100K budget), complete with new floors, all new custom cabinets, beautiful large island with storage and new appliances. Before the cabinet installer and flooring installers came out for their final inspection, I wanted to have a third party consultant take a look to see if there was anything I should be aware of and point out to the installers. I called Adrien again to do a Quality Control check on the Reno because he is so knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I AM SO HAPPY I DID THIS!! He found so many little mistakes, like the baseboards not being properly aligned, the cabinet lines not being perfectly aligned, cabinet doors having gaps when shut, cabinet doors not being flush, etc. I had a list of fixes that needed to be taken care of and the cabinet and floor installers were pretty shocked at the level of detail I was able to give them in terms of fixes. I also have to mention that he really did watch out for my best interest. You can tell he is honest, reliable and no BS! If you are renovating your kitchen and want to get an objective, skilled eye to assure quality, I highly recommend Bogman Design and Construction!

This was our second major project with Bogman Design and Construction, the first of which was a complete basement remodel, sewer line addition, and foundation replacement. That project (literally) laid the foundation for this one: replacing our 2nd floor pop-up with a full-sized second story. The project came out beautifully, and the scope of it is difficult to capture in this small text box. * Replaced second story with bedroom, office, and bathroom (not yet completed) * Vaulted ceilings * Walk-in closets * Attractive custom-made radiator system using corrugated steel * Full attic space with custom-made stair/ladder and door/pulley system * New enclosed front porch with pass-through fireplace * Balcony off the master bedroom, over the front porch * Replaced front-door * Metal roof with skylights * Custom-made doors using repurposed material * And many more amazing details Throughout, Adrian was incredibly conscientious to use green materials and practices. As an example, our vaulted bedroom ceiling is lined with repurposed wood slats, much of it preserved from the tear-down of the previous pop-up. The flooring is environmentally-friendly cork with laminate. And the walls and roof were made from structural insulated panels (SIPs), that proved high energy efficiency and solid construction. Adrian's efforts culminated with our home being part of the Pacific NW Green Homes tour in April 2018.
