We have only the highest praise for Kendra! Our kitchen went from un-usable & just-plain-weird center of early 80s house to both absolutely beautiful and wonderfully functional. We value indoor-outdoor living, and wanted to open the kitchen to light and views, and expand the space to make it more family-friendly. The design was very challenging, with no clear "answer" after multiple consults with various design professionals. Upon meeting Kendra, we knew she was the one to really figure it out... and we are so grateful to have found her! She managed to maintain the "spirit" of the original architect's design, while updating the space to modern aesthetics and active cooking/entertaining. Kendra helped us find & evaluate builders, select countertops and cabinets, and collaborated with us on selecting finishes, too. Kendra at Blueply Design is amazing to work with! She really listens to your needs and desires and brings great expertise in helping you realize your dreams for your space. Kendra had great suggestions about how to improve the flow of our spaces. The changes we made to our kitchen and living room layout has improved both spaces dramatically. We had a great experience working with Kendra Guiffre from Blueply Design. We completely renovated our kitchen area from a dark, closed-in space, to an open and light living area with a modern kitchen that still compliments the home. The renovation involved opening up walls and integrating three separate rooms into one open space. We added a powder room and enlarged and added windows. We met with Kendra on a regular basis and she guided us effectively through the process, from drawings to obtaining the permits to the final inspection. She communicated on a weekly basis with the builders and built a good relationship with them. They always knew exactly what they needed to do, and would reach out to her with any questions. She made the whole experience a lot less stressful than earlier renovations we've done. The new kitchen is exactly what we wanted. It's highly functional with a natural flow and perfect lighting that can be adjusted according to need, from functional to cozy. Every little detail is right and it now is by far our favorite space in the home. We were so happy with the kitchen/living area that we worked with Kendra again to renovate our master bathroom. The transformation –again– was breathtaking. Making use of the original plumbing, she was able to switch things around to make better use of the space. It feels twice as big now. Kendra Guiffre deserves 6 stars! She's hands-down the best architect we have ever worked with, and we've worked with several. She designed a perfect "Dwell" style two-story building consisting of a physical therapy clinic on the first floor and a studio apartment above. We are totally thrilled with the result and enjoy it every day. Kendra really is a gem and we recommend her without hesitation. Hire Blueply design for your next project!

I used blueply architectural services to develop the designs and drawings for a standalone garage and a major addition to the back of our house in Northern Virginia. The garage is finished and came out great. The drawings for the addition are almost complete and being reviewed by the contractor to take for permit. I particularly liked the way the architect developed and refined our ideas to produce a finished design. Bluply has a very collaborative style which I liked.

I hired Kendra Guiffre', owner of blueply design, as the architect for my vision of a modern minimalist house built out of the city on 8 acres of land in the country. From the beginning I was impressed with Kendra's professionalism and commitment to the project. Her work ethic was beyond my expectations on every level of the process. Kendra was a team player; always responding positively to any construction issues as the house was being built. There were many meetings in regards to problem solving throughout the entire project. She never failed to be prepared with creative ideas for solutions. She was readily available as well as for required meetings on site. Kendra's creative approach and use of space was astounding and of course added so much to the finished project that added much enjoyment to the practicality of living in the house. Without a doubt if I had another big project like the one she did for me, I would hire her to be on board as part of my team. She is exceptional in client relationships.
