Michael Barnum

Tom, Ed and team always do great work and Ed is so responsive. Two full homes and they came back to fix the walls from bad movers. We will be hiring them again for roof deck and kitchen cabinets.

We used Blue Door Painting to repair and paint our 3 story vaulted staircase wall . It had cracks and water damage . It was a very complicated project and Tom was confident that it could be repaired and painted prior to an open house just 2 days later. He and his staff were amazing! The walls were perfectly smooth and the paint was flawless. There wasn't any dust or droplets of paint anywhere. We will definitely call them for all our future projects. Thank you Tom!

Tom and his team have done several painting projects for my family: They did an amazing job painting my condo in West Town which was approx 1,600 sq ft with complex picture frame molding in the main great room area. It looked fantastic, was completed in less than 1 week, and was a very fair price. I think his paint job helped us get top dollar when we sold our condo in the city and moved to the western burbs. We have since referred Tom to many of our friends and hired him to do another project in our current house which was also done quickly and looks fantastic. It's hard to find good reliable contractors in Chicago at a fair price. Tom and his Blue Door team are some of the few.

Our home was in need of ceiling repairs from water damage due to a roof leak as well as fresh coat of paint in our front room and halls. We hired Blue Door Painting and were extremely pleased. The before and after of the ceiling was amazing; holes, peeling, and cracks were repaired as though we had never had this damage. The painting of our front room and halls came out beautiful as well with great attention to detail. Overall we were very pleased with Blue Door Painting’s price, timeliness, professionalism, and talent in a job well done.

After remodeling my dream kitchen I had blue door painting come in and do my painting around my new cabinetry, countertops and furniture. Every speck and corner was painted and not one spot was missed.Not one drop of paint was on any of my new items -the job was exceptional and professional! I was so happy with the kitchen I then asked Tom his recommendation on colors for my living room and he suggested two colors and also doing my fireplace in a high gloss. I followed his recommendation and could not be happier.I love it!

Blue door painting was perfect for our job! We bought a foreclosure that needed every surface painted and they did it all. They were very professional, very clean and did an excellent job preparing the walls for paint. They took the time to correct flaws in the wall(s) prior to painting to ensure a proper finish and appearance. They arrived on time and completed the job in the time stated. They were a pleasure to deal with and their attention to detail was top notch. They offered advice when requested and were able to point us in the right direction for help when we needed assistance with color selection. I would highly recommend Tom and Blue Door Painting!
