My garden has been beautifully transformed. Helen and Sally worked wonders in translating my aspirations into a wonderful outdoor space with plenty of interest, colour and scent. The people they choose to effect the work are all pleasant and reliable as well as good at what they do. My rather amateur photos may not do justice, but you probably wouldn't know this garden has only been in place for a few weeks. In summary - friendly, creative and professional.

Sally Court designed our garden almost twenty years ago, so we returned to her knowing she would do a fantastic job second time around. She and her new partner and team of contractors did not disappoint. The garden is an absolute delight, and we will enjoy watching it develop and mature over the coming years. In addition the new fencing, outhouse and other additional work looks great and was completed by contractors who knew exactly what they were doing and were a pleasure to work with.

Our Mayfair outdoor furniture was selected by CGD Landscape Design for two separate projects transforming client's gardens. We look forward to hearing from Sally and Helen again and seeing more of their wonderful work.

We worked alongside Helen last year to design and supply a brand new bathroom for her in time for Christmas. It was a collaborative effort and we hope she's thoroughly pleased with her bathroom a year on as it was a joy to work with her. Thanks once again!

We used CGD Landscape design to re-do our garden having extended the house. We are utterly delighted with what they have achieved. They listened carefully to my length wish list and were able to help me navigate the necessary compromises to leave us with a beautiful, petite urban garden that feels crammed to bursting with as many plants as possible. In particular, they have made very good planting recommendations, and understood the brief that I really wanted the space to feel like a garden rather than an outdoor space. I am really impatient to see what it looks like when it is in full bloom. They introduced some clever ideas to help maximise the space, such as a raised bed at the back, a green roof on the small shed and planting that will run along all the fences. Everyone that has visited has commented on how beautiful the garden is and I am so glad that we decided to make sure we had some budget for doing it as it has turned out to be an integral part of the overall extension - much more than I really anticipated. Helen and Sally, and the landscape contractors they used, were an absolute pleasure to work with. There were never any issues about budget, which was stuck to carefully and precisely. Nothing was too tricky or too much trouble - and when I did have questions or need something changing it was all very easily dealt with. Moreover they are knowledgable professionals who I felt enhanced my understanding of my garden no end, and lovely people who are really keen to do an excellent job. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

It was lovely to get such a refreshing and unique design for our garden that incorporated what we wanted but that also excited us as it was different, fun and creative! I also love the variety of styles that CGD offer and the genuine advice and support they give to help you get the garden of your dreams. We are currently completing our garden in stages and couldn’t be happier with how it’s looking.

Cgd Landscape Design has recently completed the design and landscaping of our garden which was very overgrown, had challenging levels and had not been touched for 30 years . We approached them with a difficult project, which was to create an overall plan for 1.5 acre garden within a limited budget, to be completed in 2 stages. Helen and Sally produced beautiful, clever designs and could not have been more responsive to our rather vague initial ideas. The first stage was to transform the appearance of the area immediately surrounding the house by creating new terracing with pleached trees and lighting, setting out a new rose garden and large herbaceous borders, and planting around the entrance and new car packing area. This involved significant rationalisation of levels and over 1500 new plants. This has now been completed. The result is very harmonious: exactly what we wanted and well beyond our expectations. We could not be happier. The planting plans are beautiful. Helen and Sally project managed the landscaping contractor and the project was completed exactly on schedule and to budget. It has transformed the garden and the relationship of the house to the garden."

Our victorian house has a large walled in garden and it is ajacent to a smaller hidden garden. The front garden was turned from a very overgrown back yard into a contemporary victorian garden with structural features such as cone shaped English yew, box hedges and box balls. Plants were chosen carefully to complement the victorian scheme. Gazebos provide visual structures as well as support for traditional English roses and apples. A victorian greenhouse provides plants and some vegetables. A Crabapple espalier provides a beautiful screen to increase privacy. The hidden garden gave the opportunity to design a contrast to the formal and structured front garden. Two old apple trees and a damson tree were ideal to transform it into a cottage garden with a small pond and a wetland area surrounded by an Iris bed. Instead of a formal lawn we decided to create a natural grassland wildflower meadow. Sally and Helen did an amazing job and transformed a neglected garden into a romantic and intimate place.

Sally consulted us in depth about what we hoped for from our very small garden and worked with us to produce a design that got as close to our wishes as she could within the unavoidable constraints. She then went on to produce a planting scheme to complement the layout and provide the colours and scents we had discussed. She worked with and supervised her recommended gardener (also excellent) and other trades/providers. As I write (April 2017) I can look out on a wall of blossom from our pleached Malus and a swathe of tulips just coming into bloom. We are very happy with the end result.

Sally Court designed for us a new patio and surrounding garden. She was very professional and yet friendly and her concept for patio and garden was outstanding. She supervised the project liaising with our builder, negotiating with neighbours and organising the gardening team. We are thoroughly delighted with our new environment and are happy to recommend Sally and Cgd.

We had recently moved into a new build property and were looking for help in the design and construction of a new front and rear garden to replace the very basic garden we had. We met a few designers and when we came across Sally at CGD we found she quite quickly tuned into our needs. Sally put together an initial design and then we worked together to make a few tweaks to reach a final design which reflected our needs and also the interior and exterior design of our house. We found Sally highly knowledgeable and very easy and flexible to work with. Once we had the design Sally introduced us to local landscapers to carry out the work. The landscaper we choose, who Sally has lots of experience with, was excellent and very professional. The work involved laying of a new slate patio, build of raised beds with bench, fitting a pergola and the planting of new shrubs and trees. Once the garden was finished, Sally continued to help us with finding cushions for the bench and also planting bulbs for the next spring. Overall we are extremely happy with the garden and get lots of positive comments from people who visit. We have no hesitation in recommending Sally and CGD.

We are an award-winning landscape company who were contracted by CGD Landscape Design on a domestic garden landscaping project which lasted five months.
