Todd, Jenn, Owen, Aiden the whole family are wonderful to work with all very friendly and upfront about the whole project. They take the time to break down costs and time frame. They were tremendous help when dealing with the City and all their trades that they had to call in were great. Their build crew overseen by Evan Carruthers were friendly professional and hardworking. They gave us walkthroughs of their progress and helped catch a few things that were in the design plan that didn't make sense and corrected before it became a problem. They were all detailed oriented and kept the job site clean after they finished for the day.

I have worked closely with Todd and the team at Best Builders for over a year now. Their professionalism and quality never cease to amaze me. I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of building a new custom home, or renovation.

We hired Best Builders to renovate the kitchen of our 100-year old home which included some structural work that expanded into the basement. Max, who was assigned to our project as the site manager was absolutely amazing - we found him to be incredibly knowledgeable and competent, and also just a really great person. Project management was done very professionally and we could rely on Best Builders to coordinate the various subtrades. When we ran into an issue with the cabinet maker, Best Builders were on top of the situation right away and ensured that all work was completed to the highest standard. I am very happy with the work Best Builders completed for me. Their team were on time every day, were polite and courteous and cleaned up the site when they were done everyday. The only surprise has been to be blown away by a company that is actually looking out for us, making sure we get excellent quality at a good price. Our final inspection just completed and the inspector with over 20 years on the job let me know that Best Builders are one of the few who are in the long game and genuinely care about doing a good job for their clients. When we decided to build our family home I did a lot of research and interviewed numerous contractors. I am long overdue in adding a review for BB. They did a major reno project for us last year which turned out great. A wonderful group of people that are professional and fun to deal with. They care about you and your home and have wonderful ideas on how to make your project better. They did good work, but more importantly, they are good people.

We are so pleased to have chosen Best Builders for our small renovation project. We repurposed some space to make a bed-sitting room and accessible bathroom for my elderly Mom. The workmanship is excellent, and the end result is beautiful. Each and every person who worked on the project showed great pride doing excellent work. Our project included significant remediation work after a slope failure in the back yard, as well as other improvements to the yard and patios. Due to the location of the property, there was significant scrutiny by the municipality and it took a long time for the municipality to issue the required permits. The process was frustrating and required changes to the original plans. Todd's staff were diligent in following up on all matters, ensuring that we were able to proceed with the work as quickly as possible. Todd was involved in all aspects of the planning process and had very good suggestions. Once permits were in place, work proceeded with a great deal of efficiency. The work site was always clean and well-managed. Todd's team was professional and friendly. Communication was strong from the planning phase through to completion and there were no surprises. The job included several subtrades, and the work was managed very well. We are very pleased with the result, and will certainly use them again.

Todd, Aiden and the entire team at Best Builders did a wonderful job updating our home. We worked with them to freshen up our 1979 split level and that's exactly what Best Builders did. The renovation of our condo in Vancouver with Best Builders did none of those things. The project was delivered on time and on budget. Contingencies were anticipated and planned for up front. I found the coolest little house in a special little town. Problem was it was 50 years old and badly needed updating. But it had the layout and bones to be great. All I needed was a solid builder. I began my search looking from West Van to my local Tsawwassen for someone I felt I could work with. Meeting Todd of Best Builders was a stroke of luck. He was local and he build in the hoods that demand the highest quality. We had two or three sit downs before I gave him the job. I had just two demands. One that he finish in under five months and two that we stay on budget. Not only did you do both, he and his team built me the best little house I have ever had. From what I understand those of you on Houzz like it too. Todd's idea for the Soccer pitch was all his. And his Son still helps my boys get better, now thats what I call follow up support! I also have to give a big shout out to Stephanie Malhas at Sarah Gallup Design. She nailed the concept and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Steph really got me! And as a result the home reflects my kids and I to a T. Would I recommend Best Builders and Sarah Gallop? Not only would I recommend then I would hire them again without blinking an eye. They are in my books the best of the best. And I am no easy customer.

We have done two high-end renovations with Best Builders, quite different in nature one from the other. The first was a 1928 Dunbar house with a magnificent view taken down to the foundation, which we managed to godfather. It was an irregular lot and we had to meet with the Variance Committee and suffered every nightmare that The City could thor at you. Through it all, Todd best's stewardship proved invaluable, his attention to detail and the quality of craftmanship was second to none. At the end, we won "best renovation" and a year and a half later, sold it. It was the first house to sell in that neighborhood for over three million dollars. Not bad for a small lot, 3650 sq/ft house. We really liked working with Todd, so almost two years to the date from the previous start, we began a new project. Big Southlands lot with a Japanese style house and garden that we were committed to preserving. Again Todd guided the project, we did it in record time, and once again won "best renovation". We lived in that house for happy five years, and it performed impeccably. I know who we going to call when the next one comes along. The best, Best Builders.

Having watched and heard about many renovation disasters we understood very well how important it is to have a good contractor. We chose Best Builders on a recommendation from family who had their renovation done by them. We were, like many considering renovations, looking forward to the end result of our renovation but not going through the process. We had some challenges along the way, as most renovations do, but Best Builders was there to support us through them. For example, we had chosen a countertop for our kitchen and, before it was ordered, we were contacted by Jennifer Best and advised that it was not a recommended product and did not have a warranty. We didn’t know this and thus chose another product that did have a warranty. This is just one way that Best Builders proved that they were looking out for our best interests. All the staff from the sales people, to the office workers through the site supervisor, were informative and personable. The tradespeople both in-house and subcontracted provided a high level of quality and professionalism. The communication during the project was excellent. No matter what the question or problem we had, we were confident that it would be answered or addressed. We are very happy with our renovation and we have no reservations in recommending Best Builders to others. They are a trustworthy and honest company. We will definitely be calling them for our next renovation.
