Beltway Blinds

We are very impressed with our SunSetter awning we had installed by Beltway Blinds. James, our consultant, was excellent and recommended the best options for our space and use! I'm so impressed with how the addition of our SunSetter completely transformed our backyard and the ability to enjoy it so much more.

Sales Presentation: My sales consultant was the best. He was both professional and personable. He possessed an excellent knowledge of the products and presented well. In most instances, I attempt to get several estimates before settling on a product. I was so impressed with the presentation, product, warranties and price that I ended up purchasing at the conclusion of our appointment.

Alan came to our house to measure our windows and was a really patient guy. Very easy to work with and took his time while giving us good suggestions. We are very pleased with his service and highly recommend him.

Christina came out to my house for the initial consulation. She showed me all options and explained to me what she could do for my windows. I ended up going with Honeycomb shades for the energy efficiency and extra insulation. Victor came and installed them at the scheduled time and they look great!

Christina was an awesome design consultant. Victor came to install the shades. Very happy with the process from start to finish. Would recommend.

A few months ago, I ordered window treatments for my kitchen window, my sliding glass door and shades for my picture window and two other windows in my family room. I was re-doing my windows, because I had just had my kitchen remodeled. Christina did such an excellent job in showing me the different types of styles I can use in my kitchen and my family room that would compliment one another. I especially liked the choice that Christina Gosweiler gave me for the sliding glass door. I am pleased with all of my window treatments, and I was especially pleased with the Victor who installed them. He was pleasant, friendly, efficient and got the job done quickly. I could not ask for a better end-result with what I purchased. I also like the warranty and how it transfers from owner to owner. You just cannot go wrong with purchasing your window treatments from Beltway Blinds. Make sure you ask for Christina, as she will give you every option that you need to help you make your decision and will help you come in within your budget.

If I could rate this company zero, I definitely would. This company is the worst company I have dealt with in many years. My original order was made in May 2022. During that time I have been delivered the wrong size blinds, the incorrect style and most of all blinds that do not open and close properly. I have spoken to a number “managers “ , assuming they would see the project through to completion. Wrong!!!!! At least one person assigned to my project has left and no one was assign to complete my project. The mangers are obviously NOT training their staff on any type of customer service. Nor are they willing to give any type of compensation for your convenience. However, They're quick to say all issues are due to the manufacture and never them. Waiting a year for six six blinds is insane. I still DON'T have FIVE of the six blinds for my unit!!!!! You have been forewarned DO NOT do business with this company! D Roberson

Do not buy from this company. They are highly unreliable and will not deliver. 4 re-scheduled installations and counting.

I had a fabulous experience with Beltway Blinds from the beginning to the end! Andrew was an amazing Sales rep, who was very patient, professional and friendly! Then Allen a seamlessly installed my Ventian Blinds with help from fellow manager Chanette (sp)! I would highly recommend Beltway Blinds! I loved everything about my experience and I truly felt valued as a customer!

I would encourage people to look elsewhere for the cost and quality of services we recevied from Beltway Blinds. We had moved into a new house and knew we needed window coverings. We liked the idea of working with a local company and supporting them as well as hopefully better customer service, unfortunately that is not the experience we had. We waited almost 3 months for installation and as you can see from the installation it was underwhelming. The solution for customer plantation blinds was standard blinds with filler wood and caulk (install team left in middle of install to buy filler/caulk at Home Depot) behind that obviously does not match which leaves me to question longevity. Additionally, they are literally falling out of the wall as well as a general lack of attention to detail. They were screwed in without any regard and found numerous nails and screws on the floor after they left. We have tried to reach out regarding concerns and they have been unresponsive to email so far. They claimed they would fix their Home Depot hack and came out today with no changes.

Please learn from my mistake- I should of trusted the reviews - DO NOT BUY FROM BELTWAY BLINDS. The sales rep I worked with was great, and everything else from there has been downhill. My shutters arrived months later than original promised, which is fine and I understand COVID related delays, but this was never communicated with me once. I did not get a single call or update email throughout the entire 5 month waiting period (it was supposed to be 10-12 weeks), regardless of requesting multiple times. Finally on install day, it was a disaster. The team trashed my house and I am still finding screws all over the ground days later (and I have a new puppy here). They installed the shutters crooked, drilled holes in my wall and then drilled other holes so now my door has multiple visible holes from their mistakes. The shutters are crooked, with cracks, and coming loose. I was supposed to have a repair today- they no-showed and when I called, they told me the driver's phone was dead and they have no idea if/when he will come. When I asked to reschedule since the window has come and gone, and said I was very disappointed by this whole process, she told me she "was not going to bad mouth her company" and continued to lecture me- it was truly bizarre and a terrible way to treat anyone, much less someone doing business with you. I have spent over 6k on shutters and this has just been horrible- be warned that this company truly does not care about their customers.

TL;DR: This Company is extremely poor at customer service. Extreme isn’t extreme enough. They are also not to be trusted with plantation shutter installation. I will be seeking judgment from them in the future. I started on this journey July 2018. I had just bought my first townhome, and my wife and I were excited to purchase window treatments for the townhome. We looked for reputable companies, and I thought we had found a great deal. Upon first visit, the measurements were thorough and the service personnel professional. Installation took place in September 2018. Upon installation they noticed that one panel of the custom shutters was damaged, and they assured me that they would reorder and reinstall. My wife signed paperwork saying they had been installed. Mariner Finance called me to ask if everything had been done satisfactorily, and I told them, “No we are still waiting for a panel that was damaged.” They asked me if everything else had been installed satisfactorily and I said yes and they asked if we could go ahead and start the 12 months no interest financing. I agreed assuming my job would be completed satisfactorily within a couple of months. This is where my nightmare began. A couple months passed, and I thought nothing of it as the first installation had been a couple months. Fast forward to December when I started to become concerned. I called to inquire because I had had no interaction with Beltway Blinds. They said oh well let me check on your order. They are very vague with details and to me it seemed as though they had forgotten to order my shutters. It would later be explained by Charlie, the owner of the company. More on that later...... they said they were ordered and I should be hearing back from them soon to schedule a date. They also tried to confirm the panel with me, asking which panel was damaged. I didn’t know how to describe it as I am the customer, and you would think a professional company would take note of what needed to ordered to replace. Wrong. Fast forward one more month still no contact at which point I contact them again. They asked if I could call them back later to schedule installation. At this point my patience was wearing thin with this company. I told them that I was the customer and I shouldn’t have to call back to schedule anything. I should be called to schedule installation after my order had arrived. Fast forward another month month, and I have to call them back. They say they are ready to schedule. So they bring the successful replacement right to end my nightmare? Wrong! They had ordered the wrong panel. So here we are, and it’s February timeframe. They apologize and say they will reorder the panel again. Fast forward to April. I had heard nothing from them nor the management to apologize for any of this. I go directly to their HQ to talk to the owner Charlie to try to make sense of this ordeal. He tells me that initially they hadn’t ordered the panel because they were seeking the insurance payment for the panel damaged in shipment. Imagine that, I have to wait for them to sort out their reimbursement. You have to ask yourself, don’t companies have operating capitol? They should right? Should they make their customer wait for a mistake that wasn’t their fault. Charlie told me that he was sorry. Occasionally as a business you have those cases that get you and that mine was one of their tough cases. Search their reviews, you’ll find they have many “tough cases”. There are some almost identical to my story as a matter of fact. Charlie’s said they’d reordered the panel again and that it should be in in May. I ask for records of my account to which they do not provide me. I also said how were they going to make this right. I was assured they would. Charlie is wrong often. Fast forward to May when I was told that the order should be in. I have received no phone call from them. I call yet again. This time letting them know how very disappointed I am. . I also let them know I was looking at bringing them to court, and that I wanted updates on my account every two weeks. Do you think I got those updates? If you’ve read the story this far you know the answer to that question. Fast forward two months yet again, and I call back and of course my order is “ready”. I schedule hoping to put this all behind me. I told them that I would need to be contacted as both my wife and I were working on their first available to install. They said no problem. Installation day comes, and I get a ring at the doorbell. It’s almost laughable at this point. I have to drive home from work without being told they were going to arrive. To the credit of the installer he said he would wait. He comes in to install, and to discover what? The panel is yet again wrong...... I mean, is this real life? The installer apologized profusely and I just asked him to leave my house. Do you think I got a call from Charlie to apologize? Nooooooo of course not. Fast forward to a month later in September, remember I started this journey in July 2018, and I called again to ask for my records and a large refund. I also asked for Charlie’s email. I let him know I no longer wanted to deal with his company. I also let him know that I would be visiting 7 on your Side, and writing this review. I think I’ve been patient enough. I also emailed the person who had provided me his email forwarding him the email I sent Charlie asking to ensure that my communication was received by Charlie. He did. It confirm receipt like I asked him to. To my surprise, Charlie emailed me back letting me know he would be available a specific time. I responded not having seen the email since I was preparing my house for family to visit, and I asked when he would be available again, and I apologized for missing him. Have I received communication back? Nooooooooo. This is by far the worst company I have dealt with in my entire life. Like hands down. Stay away..... Trust me!!! They also have part-owners who have slandered other customers for writing bad reviews. That was none other than “Oliver”. They will say they’re great, but they aren’t. I am extremely dissatisfied, and for very good reason. This brings us to my current day of my nightmare, September 17th. At this point, it is a matter of principle to make it known to others to avoid this company. Wish me luck. Project is still not complete.... I had to give a date.
