Bernie did an excellent job with the design of my remodel project. He took a very “80’s” house and turned it into a modern home that is now more livable than it was before. He listened to my ideas and asked the questions necessary to help him understand what I wanted to achieve. He came up with creative solutions for many details I wanted incorporated into my project. He was also not afraid to tell me when I was suggesting something that would cost more than I would realize in value. The finish list and options he provided were not only cost effective, they look great as well. We spent a significant amount of time looking through pictures, discussing what we liked about them, and using that insight to evolve the details through the design process. Throughout the building process I heard many comments of appreciation from the contractors about the level of detail, especially the structural design that had been included in the plans. The finished product exceeds my expectations.

We have used Bernie for the architectural design and building plans for 2 projects on our home over the last 7 years. One for a 14x23 ft covered patio and the other for a complete scrape and redesign of our kichen including a 200 sq ft addition. Bernie's unique background of design & architecture were absolutely invaluable to both projects' tremendous success. We were thrilled with the end results and when it came to designed work flow, addressing project goals, managing to a budget, meticulous detail attention, fantastic construction plans, and ongoing support through the construction phase Bernie is unmatched. It doesn't suck that he's a very pleasant person with an very engaging & enjoyable personality either ;-) We would strongly encourage anyone considering a project to engage Bernie for his vision, expertise, and ability to ensure project success because he's so good at foreseeing total project requirements and eliminating annoying & expensive surprises.
