We enlisted Lynn and Creative Landscape Designs to create a functional outdoor living area to complement our 1969 River Hills colonial home. She worked with us to create the perfect space both for entertaining and for our family’s daily use. She was able to seamlessly incorporate all of our desired amenities (including way too many grills and lots of tech) into a design that allows us to enjoy our backyard throughout the year. Lynn also acted as our GC for the project and successfully shepherded us through Covid delays to a beautiful backyard. We highly recommend her!

Lynn is a landscape design wizard. We had a difficult design requirement with a complete lake country shoreline restoration using native plants. In addition, Lynn redid our entire home landscaping including a nice butterfly garden on the side of the house. She was onsite with the landscapers to place each plant where she wanted them to plant it. If they had 6 stars Lynn would get it!

Lynn was helpful in creating a landscape design for our new home, which had nothing but empty garden beds when we moved in. She was very patient with our many questions, and in making adjustments to the design. Lynn was also very helpful with finding a work team to complete the weeding, install weed barrier, lay mulch in all of the garden beds and plant three trees. The team she referred us to was outstanding and did beautiful work. We are very happy with our results and plan to consult her with further plantings as we move forward with additional projects.

Creative Landscape Design was wonderful to work with on our project. We have a 1973 ranch with a large sloped pie shaped front yard. We were looking to improve the curb appeal of our home. They worked closely with us to create a full landscape plan that we can implement over the next 3-5 years. We implemented year 1 of the plan which included a new front walkway with landscape beds, as well as, a few new trees and an outdoor lighting plan. The beds used deer resistant native plants. It looks Great! We couldn’t be happier.

Worked with Lynn on a backyard renovation that encompassed an outdoor kitchen, fireplace, ~1400 sq of pavers, outdoor lighting, a large covered pavilion, as well as large garden bed in the front yard. Lynn help guide us through the process and did the full design that was then completed by one of her contractors. We hired Lynn to design a landscape plan for our newly constructed home. We had 1.1 acres of bare earth to work with and she did an EXCEPTIONAL job. We have literally HUNDREDS of plants, trees, and shrubs and it looks AMAZING! Lynn was the only person willing to work with me on a design-only basis. I am an avid gardener and I wanted to do 99% of the work myself (and did!) One of the best experiences we've had! Lynn was tremendous throughout our entire project. She was prompt, thorough, and so kind. She gave us several design options to consider and we were excited about so many of them that it was hard to choose. We ended up having to switch our stone due to cost and she met us back at the stoneyard again to make sure we found something we loved. We got in touch with Lynn shortly after moving into our new construction. From the beginning, she was truly a pleasure to work with. She sat down with us to understand our needs and wants and in the end she drew us up a beautiful landscaping plan. Lynn did an amazing job putting together our landscape plan. She was very knowledgable about different plants and shrubs and worked diligently to to find a balance with colors, flowering season, shade/sun, and our preferences on styling. She also designed our walkways and patio, including providing cutouts/various options for our firepit area on the patio. We received positive comments from both our landscaper and the concrete/asphalt Company with how thorough our scaled plan was and how much it helped them with their projects. We can't wait for our landscaper to finish installing the plants to see it all come together.

Lynn is thorough and energetic. She listened to my wants and tried to incorporate my extensive list of wants into a design. The finished plan was a thing of beauty to behold. The planting happened late in the year. I am anxious to see what it looks like in the spring. There is still about half of the project left to complete. There was no set budget or timeline which explains why only half is completed. We broke the project into two phases in order to keep it affordable.

Lynn did an amazing job planning, designing, and managing our landscaping project. In August, we added a patio to the front of our house, rebuilt our walkway and front stairs, buried our downspouts and sump pump discharge pipe, had our damaged front lawn repaired, and removed all existing trees/plants from our front yard and replaced them with new ones. Lynn helped us tremendously throughout this process- accompanying us to the brickyard to select stone, walking us around/showing us different ideas for plantings, updating plans as our ideas changed, and managing the project and helping us prepare for what to expect. The project went smoothly with no unexpected issues and the outcome is absolutely stunning.

Lynn was amazing to work with during our entire project. We built our home a couple years ago and had a flat poured patio. We worked with Lynn on a design to extend the patio with brick pavers and add a fire pit with a seat wall. We also added landscaping beds with flowers around the house and beds with trees in our backyard. Lynn was very responsive throughout the whole process - from the time we reached out initially until after our project was complete. She listened to what we wanted and prepared a number of designs for us to review. The contractor that she recommended for the job was great as well. Lynn came and checked in a number of times as the project was being completed. She paid attention to all the details making sure that our project turned out just as we had planned. When the project was complete, she followed up with a walk through of everything including very detailed care instructions.

Lynn was there from conception to completion on our project! She’s truly a joy to work with and made a massive undertaking far less stressful than it otherwise would be. With a house that sits on top of a hill and has a uniquely shaped yard, we could see the potential of a fabulous landscape, but we knew coming up with a design/plan was beyond our capabilities. So, I started making calls to landscape companies for assistance. One of them kindly referred us to Lynn. Lynn would do the design and then the landscape company could help implement/execute her design. I thought this was a great idea since one other landscape company we met with gave us a very expensive proposal for something I didn't even want done. Lynn walked with us around our 1/4 acre lot for 90 minutes, talking with us about what we wanted and bounced ideas of us. After several meetings and conversations we ended up with a Landscape Master Plan that is to die for. The beautiful thing is we don't have to do the entire plan all at once. We can do it in layers with different landscape companies or as do-it-yourselfers. I love having those options. Lynn KNOWS what she's talking about. She gave us a landscape plan for plants that deer won't eat, plants that will grow in the shade and are also good for erosion-control.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Lynn. After contracting with her, she came up with several design ideas for our backyard patio and fire pit. After choosing one, she walked us through different material choices and facilitated finding a landscape contractor to do the work. I was traveling during the time the work was being done and Lynn checked on it often and sent photos and updates throughout the process. She was very helpful and professional. I highly recommend and we will use her again for any future projects!

I sought out Creative Landscape Design after having used their services ten years earlier so as to make some additional improvements. In the pre-planning stage Lynn came to the site and we walked through the yard giving me the chance to express my vision on how I would like to see the final outcome. Lynn listened attentively, took lots of notes and then spent considerable time taking measurements. The project consisted of planting ten arborvitaes trees, two deciduous trees and the placement of stepping stones around both sides of the house connecting to the backyard patio. Upon completion of the plan Lynn came over to my house with a draft and went over it in detail giving me the opportunity to make changes. I particularly liked her flexibility incorporating new thoughts I wanted incorporated. When it came time to implement Lynn showed up at the site every day to ensure everything was executed according to plan. Overall I was very pleased with the outcome and again would hire Creative Landscape Design in the future. Lynn’s professionalism and quality of work were “top-notch”.

We found Lynn through the Wisconsin Landscapers Association and were very happy with her work. Lynn is very knowledgable, creative, attentive, and tough. As first-time home builders, we needed everything, starting with grading, fill, beds, etc. We also needed a semi-industrial level rain garden (14' x 80'; more on that below). Lynn sat down with us to determine our preferences, aversions and allergies, and long-term goals for our landscaping. Shen then designed a plan of trees, outcropping, and beautiful beds for our yard. Over the course of a couple of years, we have enacted most of the plan and we are very happy with how it turned out. Importantly, Lynn has worked with us to make adjustments along the way, helping us learn about the plants and their care, and she continues to check on the property to ensure it is thriving as we envisioned. Lynn was crucial in installing our rain garden. The neighborhood developer required the installation of a very large rain garden on each property for water filtration near the lake. However, the requirements were not very detailed and the first contractor, who had some expertise with smaller residential rain gardens, installed a rain garden that looked nice, but failed to drain properly. This meant we had a pond for days to weeks, which looked awful and killed most of the new plants. Lynn handled our frustrations with that contractor who at one point suggested we simply rent a pump every time it rains. She ultimately hired someone to redo the garden properly, personally replanting the rain garden herself. Our rain garden has drained properly ever since and is beautiful throughout the summer, with plants blooming from early spring to late fall. In conclusion, we have received many compliments on our landscaping and rain garden and requests for Lynn's contact information. She is a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend her.

I met with Lynn and felt comfortable with her doing the project. She had the design done in a short time and came back to show me. We went over the design and made some small changes. My project was on the small to medium size. I would have her do more plans in the future.

Working with Lynn from Creative Landscape Designs was (and continues to be) truly a great experience! Lynn really went the extra mile! My yard had a number of drainage opportunities along with a disjointed lot due to a recent garage addition and new concrete. So, she had a number of challenges to deal with. Lynn consulted with a number of contractors and visited my lot more than five times with landscapers before she recommended partners, drew the plan, and secured the time slot. She made sure to be on site almost every day making sure the plan was on track and we addressed any design changes with no problems and worked within our budget. I decided to secure and plant some of the plants myself and she was very open to this. The yard is beautiful -- people actually stop their cars and get out to admire our yard -- the design is really out of the box and not "cookie cutter".
