BALMA were selected to merge two conversion flats, reinstating the original Edwardian house, whilst undertaking a full renovation internally and externally including an extension, all building services, kitchen, bathrooms, joinery, decorating, roofing (with solar panels) and landscaping. The team was proactive, friendly and easy to work with. Despite the complexities of the project, and the challenging market conditions with post-COVID and post-Brexit labour shortages and the general inflation of material costs, the team completed the project on budget whilst limiting delays caused by factors beyond their control. The quality of the finished product is very high and my family and I are truly delighted with our home.

Single story extension

A great final result. Took longer than we would like have liked, even with expected/factored in delays due to supply chain issues/covid etc, mainly due to multiple projects being run at once so PM and team were stretched . BUT Very happy with the final result. Quality final product

I am delighted that I chose this company to carry out the refurbishment of my flat. The finished work looks beautiful. Although it wasn't always easy or straightforward, John Paul and everyone in his team were always willing to do everything possible to sort out any problems that arose. They couldn't have been more helpful, patient and considerate. Their expertise has resulted in work of a high quality and a flat that exactly suits my needs. The costs were always made clear to me and any extras were agreed so that the work was completed within budget.

Working with these guys for the second time, they have just successfully turned our pebble-dashed 2-up-2-down into an Architectural jewel. JP and his team worked tirelessly through the February snowstorms, and even when TFL failed London Balma were on site with a can do attitude - they even got on with our [awesome] Architects! The works included external renovations, replacement windows and doors, a new fully glazed extension, parquet flooring, bespoke joinery throughout, and the opening up of the loft to create what might be Sidcup's only 2 bedroom house with a triple-height space! Externally the garden levels have been altered, drainage introduces, hard and soft landscaping introduced and a fantastic new garden room. These pictures on this dreary day really don't do this project justice, we have a professional photographer booked for July and will update our review accordingly!

Balma helped us do a kitchen extension/total refurb. From a tiny old space not touched since the ‘30’s to a big family room, with 3 meter extension and sky lights. They completed the job to a beautifully high spec but also the team were so friendly and professional and importantly - because we have to small kids - friendly and tidy! From helping us to realise our ideas to giving us choices and options and spelling out budget/cost implications they were just really helpful but also really upfront and honest. We will definitely be going back for our lift extension next year!

I used Balma Building Services to do my renovation which consisted of extending my kitchen, putting in a downstairs bathroom, a bathroom upstairs, a study and extending out across my roof for a second bedroom. Balma Building were fantastic, the guys were always friendly and considerate and extremely professional. They managed the entire project including all the subcontractors and even third party contractors to do specialist work such as a polished concrete floor and concrete feature wall. They also had great ideas to contribute. The quality of work was top notch. And they kept to the budget, if there was any additional work I requested they were always clear on the cost that would be. I would highly recommend Balma Building Services.

Balma Building Services were brilliant for our house refurbishment in Hither Green, Lewisham. It was my Wife and I's first house refurbishment, so was close to our heart to succeed. Joe Stammers is very personal, with a great "Get the Job done" mentality and commercial reasoning gets the project to work for his clients. I work for a major London residential property developer and think the quality of finish was fantastic. I would highly recommend Balma Building Services.
