VALRYGG architecture

VALRYGG architecture was founded in 2014 by Anita Valrygg. VALRYGG achitecture is a young and innovating architecture + interior design studio based i Copenhagen. We aim to discover and create beautiful spaces. We use knowledge and our passion to deliver enduring solutions. Every aspect of our design process and architectural practice is based on these three keywords: HOLISTIC Our work is based on a holistic philosophy of paying attention to details, materials, environment and of valuing craft, creativity and collaboration. AESTHETIC Our goal is to create beautiful surroundings for the individual that affects every aspect of everyday life. LOCAL We explore the landscape, the local nature, and the unique characteristics of a place as a frame for our projects. Academic background: Anita Valrygg is from Norway and got her Bachelor Degree at Bergen School of Architecture. In 2011 she received her Master Degree at Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-arc), which is known for its avant-garde approach to architecture. At SCI-arc Anita received The SCI-arc Thesis Scholarship and was nominated for Jean Roth Driskel Scholarship (American Institute of Architecture). Before she founded her own company Anita worked, among other things, as a designer on the project “Thinking the future(s) of Auscwitz” at IDEA Office in Los Angeles.
