We used Avalon Shutters through Home Depot. Everything was beyond wonderful, from the helpful and non-pushy salesman, to the installation. The shutters are beautiful and we would definitely use them again.

Dear Consumers, Please read before buying from Avalon Shutters. I do not take this lightly as I share this very disturbing and extremely upsetting experience with you. I had a great experience with sales. 5 stars The shutters are about a 3-4 quality. Installation is a minus rating. BEWARE the installation. Although the shutters are acceptable, Avalon says they only have one installer. I just had “repairs” done to my shutters from original install. One of the shutters was built wrong from the factory. Installer RODD SULLIVAN also had to come back to “fix” the installation and caulk he had used that was discolored. He used a caulk color that was a yellow/gray. My shutters are white, white. It was very obvious that the caulk didn’t match the shutters. Initially he blamed me and said I had wiped the window sill with a chemical and I caused the problem. (I didn’t) Unfortunately for him, ALL the shutter caulking was yellow/gray except for the first room he installed that he admittedly used another tube of caulking. When he returned to “fix” the caulking he said he could “touch up” the caulking with paint. I specifically asked him not to and told him touch ups can look worse than the original problem. “Please just re-caulk”. He did and it was acceptable UNTIL I left the room. I came back and he was touching up my freshly painted custom paint with his finger and a tiny paint-by-number brush. He RUINED my window sill paint and exactly what I asked him not to do—painted the caulk and area around it. The re-installation of the shutter that was built wrong was a TOTAL DISASTER! The frame didn’t fit so he filled it with—you guessed it! More caulk. Then he painted the caulk AND the shutter with touch-up paint!! My custom painted wall is also damaged. I’m so upset as Avalon has proposed they credit me for ONE shutter and suggested I get someone else to fix the damage I’ve been left with because “they only have one installer”. There are a lot of shutter companies out there. BEWARE AVALON SHUTTERS.

We went through home dopot and that’s how avalon shutters came in.. the sales rep gave us a quote and charged the amount 4,000 it’s not cheap. I wouldn’t mind paying the money if the product is shown! I was not shown any color options or how the design(framing) looks. On homedepot site it is clearly written that in home consultation to show stains, paints, designs.. nothing was shown to us so basically we were paying blindly $4000.. i had to cancel my order and was charged $150 to cancel! Would not recommend!!

The product is good, delivery on time and the management helpful, I would recommend them! I read some reviews that were poor but found that they in fact make a beautiful product and if there is any problem they are quick to make good & keep the customer happy.

No no no. If you want poor customer service, poor communication, lied to, this is the company you want to hire.

I ordered shutters through Home Depot and Avalon Shutters is their vendor. They were very efficient to schedule review of my project, help me select shutters that met my needs. This was quickly followed by measurements for my job by a professional from the company. My sales rep stayed in touch through the process and was quick to call me back. The installation team was professional and on time. I am very happy with the company, their process and the shutters
