LIVE IN YOUR GARDEN Astrid Gaiser Garden Design, LLC is a landscape design studio based in Mountain View, California. We are exclusively working on residential projects in the San Francisco Bay Area and specializing in designs that allow extensive outdoor living for our clients. We treat the garden as an extension of the house with outdoor rooms for lounging, dining, cooking, working, playing, meditating, and relaxing. We accompany our clients through the building process of a new home, working closely with the architect, home builder, and engineering to ensure the successful integration of in- and outdoor. For existing homes and gardens where more integration is desired, we provide ideas that are imaginative and sometimes a bit “different.” Our idea result in increased use and enjoyment of the outdoor and sometimes even the indoor spaces. Our gardens are designed in an environmentally conscious and sustainable way. We use drought-tolerant plants with low water and low maintenance needs, permeable hardscapes to retain water on site, the latest irrigation equipment, and low maintenance materials. We adhere to the guidelines of “Build It Green”, a residential green building program widely used by cities and counties in the Bay Area. Irrigation audits according to the Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance (WELO) for the state of California are provided by our certified landscape irrigation auditor (CLIA).
