Deliandro and his team are a pleasure to work with! We had a six-month project including excavation, new rooms, and bathrooms, and we are extremely happy with the quality of work. Deliandro shared a detailed timeline for the project and completed it on time. Also, from a financial standpoint, we had no surprises during the project and kept it on the planned budget. We just completed a total gut rehab on a single family home in Boston and would highly recommend Alpha Smart Builders, Inc. During the selection process, the contractor, Deliandro came in with a very competitive quote and was incredibly detailed so we had complete clarity on the scope of work. He also had similar design ideas and knew exactly what we were looking for. During the construction phase, Deliandro and his team were respectful of our neighbors, professional throughout and most importantly, was communicative throughout every phase of the job. The pandemic affected timing of many construction projects but Deliandro was able to deliver the project on time and on budget. We could not be happier with the final results. The closeout and punchlist of the job went very smooth and the quality was amazing. I would highly recommend this contractor for custom home builds. His creativity, attention to detail, patience, and professionalism really made this a stress-free experience and I can't wait to work with him again on our next rehab project!

Deliandro and his crew at Alpha Smart Builders had done two major renovations for us – one in 2014 and another one this year, 2020, including kitchen and bathroom renovations, home office, and master bedroom, living room, and basement. In total, Alpha Builders renovated our entire house in Newton. Both times, it was a pleasure to work with Deliandro and his crew and we highly recommend them. They are reliable, consistent, and fair in terms of pricing. They clearly care about the project and about creating a space that fits its residents’ goals and vision, while also being creative and innovative in their thinking. I found myself relying on Deliandro’s gifted eye, his taste and attention to details. He is also extremely patient, friendly and respectful. Do not hesitate to hire them.

Deliandro and team did a fantastic job and provided great value. The craftsmanship, creativity and above all HONESTY was extremely appreciated I look forward to hiring them again on future projects. They were not the the absolute least expensive, but I have zero doubts about the value provided. ASB completed a bathroom remodel and the addition of a first floor bathroom in August 2019. The job was extensive and the house old (built in 1810's), The remodel required gutting the existing bathroom to the studs, moving plumbing, expanding walls, relocating a door and the creation of a laundry nook in a separated adjacent area. Deliando provided a few different options, complete with floorplans, and proved a capable and creative thinker and designer. It came out wonderfully, with excellent attention to detail and great communication all along the way. The new bathroom required putting up new walls, doing exterior window and vinyl siding replacement and running new plumbing through some old and narrow areas. The design and construction techniques used in the old house created challenges but Deliando was able to consistently provide excellent solutions without forcing a change in price. Most builders would at least try to get some additional value out of you. We are getting a lot of compliments on the job and do not hesitate to recommend ASB to anyone willing to listen.

We hired ASB as our general contractor to gut renovate the kitchen and the master bathroom of our newly bought two-family condo in Brookline. Deliandro and his crew did an absolutely incredible job and we couldn't be happier with how everything came out. We had a great experience from start to finish. Deliandro was extremely detailed in the quote he had provided for the project compared to quotes we received from other contractors. He clearly laid out all the line items and associated costs as well as explained the sequence of activities. During the demolition phase, Deliandro and his crew were extremely courteous and professional and made sure that the work didn't cause any inconvenience to our neighbors. We had hired an interior designer and Deliandro coordinated with her throughout the project to ensure the appliances and cabinets were installed on time. Deliandro was extremely flexible and understanding when we decided to make some changes to the cabinetry after he had installed the cabinets. He replaced the cabinets without charging us for the labor! There were also several others things we had to get done throughout the house (e.g., installing new blinds, mounting TVs, installing a new closet system and closet doors) that we hadn't originally talked about. Despite his busy schedule, Deliandro took time out to do all the extra work, sometimes working until late evening on Fridays. As far as contractors go, it's difficult to find someone who's as skilled, professional, courteous and reasonable & transparent with pricing as Deliandro is. We highly recommend ASB!

Alpha Smart Builders did a fantastic job with our first floor bathroom. Deliandro was very detailed with his proposal, describing each step of the project with line items. Deliandro was flexible with our ideas but also provided great recommendations on making our bathroom better than we had hoped for. The Alpha Smart Builders crew was very professional, courteous, and clean! His crew cleaned up very diligently after every work day at our house. Deliandro was responsive to our questions throughout the project, which we really appreciated. I cannot wait to use Alpha Smart Builders for our next project.

Deliandro and his team completed a full kitchen remodel for us in Feb 2019. They did an excellent job and his team was very professional. The kitchen came out just as we envisioned and he worked very smoothly with the kitchen designer at Metropolitan Cabinets. Before starting the project, Deliandro will make a list of the line items and estimated costs and this helps you stay on budget and eliminates confusion later. I highly recommend Alpha Smart for any type of project that you need done.

We worked with ASB start to finish on a major renovation of our 3-bedroom condo including complete kitchen renovation, replacing a load-bearing wall with a beam, and adding a master bathroom. Deliandro and his team were very professional, and we are very happy with the finished product.

We recently purchased our first home and wanted to re-do the outdated kitchen and bathroom. As soon as we started speaking, I knew Deliandro and Alpha Smart Builders were our contractors. He took the time to listen to our ideas and proposed his own, in order to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted. This being our first renovation, he was patient and flexible with us not being able to make up our minds or changing them on the fly. He helped guide us through the process the entire time. During the renovation, his workers were kind and courteous, and they always cleaned up after every day. With the exception of some pipes that needed to be moved, everything was exactly as laid out in the proposal: on budget and delivered on time. We ended up going with our own kitchen cabinet company (our mistake) and got delayed, but he worked around it to keep the renovation moving along. I 100% recommend to anyone looking to do their first renovation or anyone looking to have any work done on their house. I will definitely be calling Alpha Smart Builders if we need to do any more work on ours!

Deliandro and his crew at Alpha Smart Builders did a major renovation for us on our mid-century split-level home in Newton. It was a pleasure to work with Deliandro and his crew and we highly recommend them. There are always surprises during a renovation. The true measure of a general contractor is how he helps you deal with those surprises. Deliandro was fair, creative, and professional so even though there were some surprises we managed to live through them, be very happy about the results and feel we dealt with them in a fair way. The renovation project had a very aggressive timeline - a lot of work and we needed to move in within 4 months. Deliandro managed to finish the majority of the work and we were able to move more or less on time. From that point, Deliandro's crew worked while we were living in the house. They were very respectful and professional - keeping the house clean and always asking if/when they can work so it doesn't interfere with our needs. We're almost missing their friendly presence! Bottom line - Renovation is a tough undertaking so we hope not to have to do it again soon, but Deliandro and his crew made it reasonable, and we will definitely call them again if we have to do another renovation! Alpha Smart builders completely renovated two of our upstairs bathrooms while my partner was ~6 months pregnant. They were timely, clean, and did a good job keeping us in the loop as things progressed. This was especially important as we needed the renovation done before my partner gave birth. :) Alpha Smart added heated flooring, new tiling, marble surfaces and extensively rebuilt in-wall toilets. They helped us find a marble contractor which saved us a good deal of money, and gave us advice on our choices of faucet fixtures that helped us save some money. They caught issues with our tub (sizing choices) which made sure we were up-to-code. They did woodwork that added special touches to both of our bathrooms. They also care a-lot about placement, e.g., planning electrical socket placement to avoid visible wires. Deliandro is fast to respond, helpful, and hard working. He contracts out good help. (Electrical work, etc..) He returned a year later to make some adjustments after a shower door became unhinged / misaligned. We were super excited how everything turned out. Our advice working with Alpha Smart would be to have ideas (e.g., photos of similar renovations) going into your project. Since we were new, we were not sure what we wanted going in and discovered the amount of choices involved in bathroom renovation. Deliandro came to us with ideas for modern improvements to our bathroom, and we worked together to make those ideas fit with the house (built in 1926.) Deliandro and his team are top notch in all aspects. The quality of their work is superb, and they pride in the work that they do. They are open, honest, easy to communicate with, easy to work with, and eager to please. Highly recommended!

We can strongly recommend Deliandro and his crew. Over the past years he has done many small projects for us but most notably was the gutt renovation we did with him and our architect on our current home. His insights and recommendations and design sense were very valuable and made sure the project was done in a timely and cost sensitive manner.

If you are considering using Deliandro I have one strong suggestion for you. The moment after you receive your proposal from him....CALL HIM AND ACCEPT! Because this man will be very busy, very soon for a long, long time. I met him thru a mutual friend. I have had good contractors, bad contractors and VERY VERY bad contractors. This man deserves a category of his own. Every step of the way I was informed as to what was happening. And here is the best part. I was never informed! Everything was done just as he said it would be. There was no "we did not expect this, we did not factor in that, it is going to cost you $$$$ more to do it right." I was completly blown away at the professionalism, courtesy and workmanship he performed. I explained I was on a very tight budget and he made it work. And even helped out with some small extras. It is so refreshing to come across a man who keeps to his word. And finally, on the day prior to beginning the project he created a website for me to view the progress complete with a calendar of events as to what would happen and when it would happen. Each day I saw new pictures, and if the electrician was to come in on Monday, sure enough, he did. Flooring on Wednesday....DONE. I went to view the progress on a regular basis and each time the condo was clean. And this was a TOTAL DEMO on the Third Floor of a very old, very tight space. And not one person said anything about the noise or work. In closing, Deliandro will be back in to do my Kitchen and two bathrooms in the not to distant future. I've worked with Deliandro and his team at Alpha Smart on two successful renovations. One was a conversion of a detached garage into a home gym/art studio in Somerville. The other was a renovation of a condo in Boston's North End. On both projects, Deliandro generated detailed budgets based on my plans and specifications. He delivered the work according to his original budget with changes that were expressly approved by me or the homeowner. Throughout the process, he asked good questions about the design documents and provided periodic updates on his progress. He was a pleasure to work with, and I look forward to collaborating with him in the future.

It's been a little over a year since the total gut renovation, my wife and I are still very pleased with Alpha Smart's work. We ran into a couple of issues during the renovation (the cabinet maker, structural problems and Inspectional services) but Deliandro always remained positive and helped me and my wife get thru the process. I am a first-time homebuyer/owner and I hired Alpha Home Builders to remodel my master bathroom in a condo. Even thought it's a relatively-small project, Deliandro kept me informed me of every stages of the remodeling and inspection processes and sent me pictures of the tile layouts to make sure everything is how I want it. He also helped me refined my lighting design and the amount of light is spot on. Deliandro and his team delivered a fast and precise job and the outcome was beyond my expectation.

Deliandro and his team were excellent, professional, courteous, polite and attentive to our needs. At the beginning, communication about time schedule was not always ideal, but that improved over time. The project cost was exactly according to the estimate given, and they were both transparent about all construction costs, and reasonably flexible about payment.

We hired Alpha Smart Builders for a big remodelling project when we bought our new home, it included replacing 18 windows, removing and modifying internal walls, installation of a complete new kitchen and bathrooms. We were very happy with everything related to the project, from the proposal that was very detailed, thru all the phases of the project, all the way to the delivery at the end. Alpha took care of everything including working with the city on all the inspections and other paperwork. We felt informed in every step of the way and were very pleased with the progress. The project exceeded our expectations, it was delivered 2 weeks ahead of time, and several additional minor fixes and improvements we asked for during the project (such as minor paint and carpentry work) were addressed with no extra costs.

The project involved preparing a 3400 square foot, 100 year old home, for rental market. The scope was a lot of patching & painting walls, painting kitchen cabinets, tiling kitchen backsplash , installing shower enclosure, sanding and refinishing hardwood floors, replacing rotted exterior lumber on porch and odds and ends. The company did the work to our satisfaction and the communication with them was easy either via email or phone. They supplied detailed estimates and invoices and considering the fact that this was a budget job, provided a great job on time.

I have worked with Alpha Smart Builders on a few projects in the past 5 years and can attest to their extensive home remodeling knowledge and experiences, their strong work ethics and their integrity. They are experienced, hard at work, conscientious, polite, respectful and dedicated trades people. During our work together the principal, Mr Cruz who overseas all of their work, came up with cost effective solutions and has been involved in the process to the level of detail.
