Aren King is a gifted artist and the owner of Les Artistes, a boutique firm specializing in fine decorative painting for residential and commercial spaces in Philadelphia, the Main Line and the surrounding suburbs. She received her artistic training at Moore College of Art & Design, graduating with a Bachelors degree in Fashion Illustration. Aren combines artistic science, color theory, texture and mixed media to create what others can only envision, often combining opposites - which together, she finds - can reach their highest level of vibrancy. Much like in life, there is a ying and a yang, she says. One is not complete without the other. Her creative process takes into account a wide perspective of color, design and texture, allowing her to delve more deeply into the layers of her creations to deliver something unique and special to each client. Early in her career as an artist, Aren’s talent was recognized by the owner of one of the hottest nightclubs in Philadelphia. He commissioned her to create 30,000 square feet of murals throughout the club. This opportunity opened the door to numerous commissioned projects including upscale retail spaces, houses of worship and exclusive homes. Her clients’ tastes and demands led Aren to expand her creative services into interior design work focusing on faux finishes and textures. One client’s wish for a mural of their favorite exotic vacation spot brought DIY Network to the scene, where Aren was a featured artist crafting her client’s vision. Throughout her career, Aren has continued to evolve by experimenting with a variety of media, materials and finishes. She has earned the respect of some of the region’s top designers for the artistry and creativity she delivers on even the most complex of projects. Aren’s services are customized to create an atmosphere that fits each client’s unique personality. In a complex world, she not only delivers a work of art combining beauty and clarity, but a client’s vision that she crafts into a reality in their living or working space.
