Karen designed a kitchen space, family room and living room for us. She chose colors, fabrics, and furnishings which have brightened and updated the rooms but kept the lived in and cozy feel of our house. She created a kitchen which is not just beautiful but much more functional than what we had. She has such a wonderful knack for figuring out what works best for her clients and their families.... always attentive to form and function. My husband and I hired Karen for our kitchen remodel. Karen was professional and friendly. She understood my taste and vision for the kitchen despite me providing very little detail because I was so overwhelmed with the process prior to engaging Karen. Her follow through was fantastic. We are in love with how she styled are kitchen. It has been a complete transformation and she made everything incredibly easy. Where to start.... Karen was amazing !! Her design was perfect! !Karen was accessible, calming,attentive and worked so well with our contractor. To understand the difficulties Karen faced with our remodel you need to know what she was up against. Our home was built in 1921 and had never been updated. We have lived here for 32 years and I had dreamed of this update for three decades, so my expectations were high, and though I wanted to keep to the feeling of our Tudor Cottage home, my mind was going in a hundred design directions ! Karen had to tell me countless times “ stay with me” “ let’s see the design through to the end”. Thank goodness I listened to her,trusted her talent and saw it through to the end! As I sit in my finished kitchen I cannot imagine it any other way. Karen stayed true to the feel of our home, yet gave us every modern convenience. She found a way to incorporate my request for TWO gas stoves and a dedicated coffee area and still the design is flawless ! We knocked down walls, moved doorways and made sure the dining room, now a part of the kitchen, flowed smoothly. Replacing the original crown molding in the dining room to match the crown into the kitchen made all the difference in joining these two rooms into one. It is truly a breathtaking remodel,and countless friends and family cannot believe it is the same space! Thank you Karen for a dream come true and the patience of a saint! Next up.... the mud room with a newly added bathroom ! Karen..... I will be calling!!

Karen helped us to redesign our entire first floor, foyer, family room, kitchen, dining room. She really listened to what we liked, the way we lived and was able to incorporate everything into a cohesive design plan. She understood that we were going to be spending a lot of time and money on this project, and did not want to have to remodel in the near future, and kept us off the trendy design path and into a more timeless classic feel. We had plans but put the project off for a year, and Karen was fine with that. Once we were ready to go, Karen was wonderful in adapting changes that we wanted. She was there to assist with everything from providing us with contractors to selecting paint and floor colors. She was easily accessible when we sent her photos of items we wanted to purchase and explained how they would or would not fit into the project. She was also a calming force when I wasn't quite sure I liked something, with the constant reminder "You need to see the whole picture, it will be fine." And she was right. I love everything and have not once said "I wish we had (or had not) done this or that." Next year we will be remodeling our upstairs and Karen is my only choice from now forward. She made us feel like we were her only clients and we were the most important project she had. She is very professional, easy to work with, has a great personality and sense of humor, and mostly...she really knows her stuff!

Karen gave us the perfect layout and flow along with a comfortable, beautiful living room that we truly LOVE!! This is the second room I've asked her to design. Simply, I sent her photos and measurements and within a few days, I had two detailed 3-D renderings of our living room. Karen encouraged us to be specific and freely ask about what exactly we wanted.

Karen is amazing! We really enjoyed working with her and are now enjoying her inspired interior designs every day throughout our new home. Karen took time to understand what we liked and what we were trying to accomplish. She considered our suggestions (even liked a few of them) and gently steered us to a better place when she knew she should. She helped us visualize the end result months before the drywall was installed. Karen was with us every step of the way from meeting with the builder to making selections at supplier locations to helping us position artwork throughout the house. I met Karen at a home show where she had a booth set up advertising her services; my initial impressions were that she was very professional and would be easy to work with. Those first impressions were accurate. Karen is able to visualize the big picture and fill in all the details. She doesn't push anything that you don't want and she is flexible, and knows what works. Her costs are very transparent so you understand what you are paying for. I found her services and her abilities to be exactly what I was looking for, and will definitely hire her again.

My husband and I decided to build a house. With so many decisions to make in such a short time we knew we needed a professional designer to help make our dream home a reality. I actually found Karen Hill on Houzz. Our first phone call I knew Karen Hill was the designer for us. She totally understood the look that we were going for. For our project we already had blue prints of our home. Karen reviewed them and suggested some structural changes. Her suggestions improved the function of our home. We were actually able to see these changes on her drawings before they were implemented. Seeing our home on her computer design really helped us visualize what our home would be like. Karen worked well with our contractor. She was at our home when it was being built and specified where ceiling lights were going to be placed , light switches, outlets , pendants, chandeliers, sconces etc. I can’t stress how important these elements are and my husband and I were impressed with her knowledge. Karen helped design the exterior of our home. She showed us different samples of siding and stone. Garage doors, doors, lights, hardware,shutters. With so many choices out there Karen understood exactly the look we wanted and made it happen. Karen helped us design our kitchen, greatroom, bathrooms, office and bedrooms. She reconfigured the original layout and helped us maximize space. She was beyond amazing with helping us pick out cabinets , countertops, flooring, hardware, paint, tile, faucets, shower heads, toilets, tubs,appliances,lighting fixtures, mirrors, carpet and furniture. Karen’s expertise saved us so much money, time and stress. We would tell Karen different things we liked and she would come back with beautiful selections in our budget. Karen is incredibly organized and was completely dedicated to our project . Every step of the way she was there. There were so many times I would call, email and text Karen throughout this process because I needed her opinion. She was always professional and I trusted her vision. I highly reccomend Karen Hill.
