Amanda Ransom is a specialist in the sympathetic treatment of historic interiors, informed by her long-standing love of classical architecture, proportions and furnishings. After a successful City career, Amanda retrained at the prestigious Inchbald School of Design and learnt her craft during time spent working for firms well known for their work on historic interiors: Soane, Melissa Wyndham Limited and with Caroline Percy at Hotspur Design. She creates interiors that are in the best English classical tradition, comfortable, elegant and eclectic. She has a broad contact list of specialists in the field of historic restoration and renovation and can help source antiques or breathe new life into a client’s collection. Recent projects include a large Georgian townhouse in Mayfair, a Syrie Maugham Art Deco bathroom, a house in a John Nash development in Regent’s Park, a Tudor Farmhouse in the country and an important Grade I listed estate in the West Country.
