Flower Garden Design & Planting in the residential areas of greater Montreal. We design and plant colorful, English-style gardens with perennials that re-bloom forever. Our flowerbeds provide continuous beauty during the season, go dormant in winter and revive themselves the following year. Enjoy the pageantry of spectacular-looking plants as they transform the garden from spring to summer and into late fall. Once established, these flowering perennials will take your breath away and their visual energy will make you smile. We specialize in low maintenance plants compatible with Montreal’s climate. No winter protection is required. Also, we design and arrange outdoor flower pots and urns using exotic and dramatic flowering plants. Allan Becker designed and planted his first perennial garden when he was in his teens. He’s been designing ever since. A retired executive from the soft goods industry, he has worked in textile design, styling, graphic design, market research, product development and marketing for home furnishings and apparel. Now he has turned his passion for gardening into a second career as a garden designer, consultant and garden coach for clients in Montreal, who dream about colorful English-style gardens full of flowering perennials, roses, flowering vines and flowering shrubs. After earning a B.A. from McGill University, Allan enhanced his studies with courses in Design in the Fine Arts Department at Sir George Williams College [now Concordia University]. He and his wife, Hessa, an adult educator, live in the Montreal suburb of Cote Saint-Luc and travel regularly to Toronto and Boston to visit their children and grandchildren. In keeping with the dedicated, personalized service he provides, he carefully vets his summer staff to ensure they are respectful of his clients, their property and their needs. Allan is very passionate, knowledgeable and very attentive to his clients’ needs, visions and budget. We were extremely pleased with the result right away, but when our garden almost grew twice in size the next year (like Allan assured us) we fell in love with our gorgeous front garden even more. We constantly get compliments from people walking pass our garden and sometimes see people take pictures of it as well. Thank you Allan for your great work and wonderful experience we had creating our little paradise.

Excellent and detailed service. Allan puts his heart, soul and years of knowledge into his garden. He listened and provided a garden plan that was exactly what I hoped for at an incomparable price. There is no doubt that his calm and professional demeanour added to the pleasant experience. He is always available for extra advise and follow up if and when needed. My garden is gorgeous!

I hired Mr. Becker to do a consult, and help me bring a specific vision to my garden. He listened very well to exactly what i wanted, helped make recommendations of which plants and shrubs would do well, and redesigned the layout to give me the look i wanted. He also recommended an excellent hortoculturist, who he said would be able to implement his ideas, and he was dead on! They both know a lot about gardens and plants, etc, and i would highly recommend him for any project. He truly cares about the garden, and took the time to explain why he was making the recommendations he was. Thank You, Allan!

We hired Mr Becker to redo our garden with plantings of a perennials. He listened to what our vision of how our garden should look and smell. He carried out the work in a timely and professional manner. He also recommended a maintence company to help me with trimming and grooming the garden. Our garden is a marvellous array of roses in various colours and a multitude of perennial plants that look beautiful at all stages of the seasons. He came back repeatedly to replace plants that were not doing well in a particular location , replacing them with other plants until he found the perfect match for the location. I would recommend Mr Becker to anyone who cares about their garden and needs some guidence with its planning. He knows his plants and is passionate about what he does. He also came well within our budget.

Always a pleasure to deal with. Garden Guru has worked on all our landscaping work, most recently the completion of our backyard pool landscaping. The compliments we have received have been numerous. Service and advice have been second to none.

When my daughter asked to have her wedding pictures shot in our back yard, the photographer suggested flowerbeds densely filled with annuals as background. I immediately thought of Allan Becker. I was familiar with the perennial flower designs he created for two of my neighbors and impressed that strangers driving by would stop to take pictures of his work. At first, I wasn’t certain he planted annuals but he assured me that design principles he used for perennials would work for annuals as well. The beds were planted by end June to mature for August, and looked stunning. Yet, Allan kept returning intermittently for several weeks every time he found a new flowering plant he thought might enhance the original composition. By the time August arrived, our flowerbeds were lush. Later, when friends dropped by to admire the photos in our daughter's wedding album, they didn’t notice the bride or the groom or the wedding dress. All we heard was “Where did the photographer find such a beautiful garden?” It seems that Allan had decided to make white the dominant color of the scheme. The white of the flowers picked up the white of the gown and turned the wedding photos into works of art.

Allan was very creative with his ideas and was always ready and helpful with my many questions. I wanted a front yard English garden and he accomplished that very well. We now have many perennials that bloom at different times. The roses and peonies were stunning. I love color in my garden and and with yellow and oranges annuals amidst the perennials gave us that .....it was always a pleasure to walk up my walkway.....because they were always a sunshine in my day! Plus ......they made very good cut flowers for our home! Thanks, Allan

In 2009, we installed a swimming pool in our back yard and we wanted primarily to have perennials so as not to have to plant too many flowers, bushes etc each year. Of course we had both full sun areas and dark areas under cedar bushes to provide a little challenge. My wife planned a rosebush garden and a "zen" garden to enhance the overall look. Allan Becker was awesome; he came over to our home many times with alternatives and discussed the choice of perennials and bushes as well as which flowers would fit our garden and would be both beautiful and hard to kill, and suggested which annuals would be good to fill in until the perennials had grown in fully. He guided us with some plants that bloomed in early summer, mid summer and early autumn so our back yard is quite colourful the entire summer period. Oh yes, he also designed our front yard with bushes and perennials in addition to plants on the front walk to our home. My wife puts flowers each summer to provide a fresh look but the great work repeats annually based on the input from Allan Becker, the garden guru. He was easy to work with and listened carefully to what we wanted and then came up with a very workable and rather inexpensive plan.

コメント：Quelles vivaces mettre devant les pieds des rosiers roses arbustifs?Une platte band longeur ou profondeur de une metre est trop court pour ajouter des vivaces. Chaque rosier a besoin d'une metre pour soit meme pour agrandir. [SVP excuser mauvais francais].
