All Access Construction

1,000 sq ft cement deck around a pool in our backyard. The State is currently taking action against his license. Go to CSLB license lookup and look under All Access, "Additional Status", "Complaint Disclosure" and "Amendment" The state (not me) is pursuing 12 causes for discipline. (My case is included under this) Had to go to Small Claims Court and I won. Judge recognized: 1. Abandoned the job. Per his email, said he would not return to do anymore work. (I can provide the email as proof). 2. He failed to follow code by not properly bonding the pool grounding wire (admitted to this in court). His excuse? He wasn't familiar with the code. Um, that's why you are hired to do the job. 3.Failed drainage system. 4.Failed to finish the steps. (the attached photo shows the steps as he left them.) He stated that is how I asked for them. WHAT?? He failed to pay me, failed to fill out the required paperwork and failed to ever return a phone call, email or text. He states he referred this to his insurance but the law states HE is required to pay me and/or fill out the paperwork to his assets. The bond company stated they are a secondary source of damage recovery only to be used if Joe refuses to pay. They agreed to pay. If Joe is to argue any of these points, he is arguing with the judgment of Small Claims Court and the State's complaint against him. He is currently filing bankruptcy for which he tried to include me so I received the paperwork. The filing does not include any medical bills as he previously claimed but over $50,000 in business loans, State tax lien and other items.

This was an extremely poor experience with a contractor that I believe to be deceptive, incompetent and completely unaccountable about the poor work thst he performed. I’ll share a few of the experiences in my project which was a job of more than 100k. He built a wall for me which failed city inspection multiple times and still is crooked s. He was responsible for building piers to support a deck. The piers were massively screwed up and he missed the dig spots by multiple feat requiring 10s of thousands of dollars in new engineering because of his mistakes. He also takes no accountability and ran away from the job. Would highly discourage you from hiring him

Hired Joe Johnson and All Access Construction for Patio installation in March 2016, we were happy with the design, but the job was never finished and issues never resolved. Problems included: The concrete retaining wall and bench concrete developed problems with efflorescence, the redwood bench was not properly sealed causing the stain to run off and leak onto the concrete and stain clothing, the wrong plants were purchased for landscaping that was never completed. It took the vendor almost a year to come back out to our home and look at the problems, but no effort was ever made to correct them. We are still waiting for the problems to be fixed and these issues satisfactory resolved. The vendor refuses to contact us.

Joe and the All Access Construction team are great at what they do. Attention to detail is one of many qualities that they possess. It's been a pleasure getting to know and follow the team as every job evolves and is posted on their many social sites. Joe is also very helpful, goal oriented and always has a smile on his face.
