Alice Meacham Gardens

In late summer of 2013, whilst having some hard landscaping work done in our garden we contacted Alice to design a structure and planting plan for us. The plans she drew were fantastic. In an ongoing process, borders have been created and planted to provide colour and interest all year. The garden has matured beautifully and we are delighted with the results. Minimum maintainance and maximum enjoyment. We found Alice to be extremely knowledgeable, approachable and very helpful and would highly recommend her services.

Alice worked a miracle in my garden. What was previously an unmanageable slippery slope is now an elegant terraced kitchen garden with raised beds and gravel paths surrounding my greenhouse. There is also a sheltered seating area where I can sit and enjoy my garden in finer weather. Alice had the vision to build the raised beds in a tapered, angular fashion to line up with the non-perpendicular geometry of the surrounding buildings and walls. The gently steeped terrace now leads out onto the main lawned area of the garden. I was and still am 100% happy with my little "potager."

I asked Alice for advice on redesigning my garden in reshaping the path, choosing suitable plants and how to encompass a new shed suitable for the new environment. Alice understood my needs really quickly and came up with the design of the path which flows and compliments the natural materials of my house. The path curves beautifully and creates a desire to explore and see beyond. She has cleverly hidden my shed with planting and chosen specimens which allow the garden to look great all year round. Alice's plant knowledge was vast Alice was efficient, clear and on time with her delivery in an estimate, drawing and organisation of the works to be carried out. The garden was left clean and tidy and on budget. I was more than happy to pay what I consider to be a reasonable rate, for such a high quality piece of work and creative design.
