Love Of Function space planning and design

I can't thank Alecia enough. I’m not sure I would have been brave enough to add a new “window” in an interior wall and all of her cabinet advice made a huge difference. Our cramped kitchen from the early 70s now feels so open and light. This is my second full-house DIY reno, but I was completely stuck on my kitchen/ dining room layout. I've used interior designers before and found them a waste of my limited resources. Alecia walked in and in less than 2 hours completely rearranged the footprint of my kitchen/dining room area in a way that was functional, beautiful, and best of all affordable. She really listened to what I said wasn't working in our current set-up and helped me find solutions that worked within my budget. She looked at what I had and helped me rearrange it so it worked better and I would only have to make a few purchases. She would have held my hand through the whole renovation if I'd needed it but she was comfortable with just giving me the advice I needed to do the rest of the work DIY. She even had time left in our 2-hour consultation to give me advice in other areas of the house that were giving me trouble! Her great advice gave me the kickstart and confidence I needed to start thinking outside the box again on future projects. I highly recommend her! Based on her advice, we moved everything around to make the kitchen more functional without having to replace or trying to match our brand new, granite countertops!. Our new "window" makes the whole house feel more open concept without taking down any walls and moving the old passthrough countertop to the new "window" ties it in and makes the whole area feel like it was always there. We thought getting rid of the big pantry would make it feel like we had no storage, but by moving existing base cabinets around to extend the peninsula, adding a corner floor-to-ceiling pantry, closing the old passthrough so we could add new 45" cabinets there too, a rolling cart with a cabinet that matches the peninsula, adding a pull-out cabinet to hide the ugly trashcans... it feels like we have more storage rather than less. I can't recommend Love of Function highly enough.

Alicia was wonderful to work with and really helped me out my vision together. I could not be happier with the bathroom project we worked on. I highly recommend her for any design project!

Alecia helped us design our IKEA kitchen through Probuild. Within 15 minutes of talking to me, I felt like she knew exactly what the kitchen needed in order to flow and function better, but also what I wanted the look of the kitchen to be. I am very pleased with her design and enjoying our new kitchen. Any changes that we made or questions I had, she was always prompt to answer. Great Experience!! Highly recommend Alecia to help anyone with their kitchen designs.

Alecia did a great job at helping us plan and design our kitchen remodel! She was able to incorporate all we were looking for in a new kitchen, helping us make the most out of a small floor plan, and even opened our eyes to several options we didn't even know existed. It was so nice to have someone help with the measuring and planning of the space, allowing us to fully maximize the small space (we needed to have a washer and dryer in there) and turn it into a beautiful and functional kitchen.

Alecia was fantastic! We had to change the design due to unforeseen circumstances 2 times and she made it very easy and painless. I can't recommend her highly enough.

I worked with Love the Function on our kitchen remodel. Alecia was fantastic – not rushing through the design process, and spending time with me to understand what I wanted from a design perspective, running through different options for cabinets/drawers also and then making sure that we made the most of the space that we had to work with. She helped with the choosing the different options with double cabinets for the high ceilings, lower drawers with hidden spaces for pot lids etc. I am very happy with my new kitchen and would definitely use Love the Function again for other remodeling projects!
