Alan completed a big job on our foundations after our previous builder walked out on us half way through. Alan and his team were incredibly professional and transparent with the costs. The hourly rate seemed quite high but that is because Alan's workers are highly skilled and got the job done very quickly and to a high standard. I can't recommend Alan O'Rourke Construction highly enough.

Alan and his team renovated our bathroom. They did an excellent job and he was great to work with. I was impressed by Alan's knowledge, his communication, and his work. He helped us define a reasonable scope of work and his team stayed on time and on budget. I referred Alan to our friends and family and we look forward to working with him again in the future.

Working with Alan for the extensive renovation of our house in Victoria was a productive and pleasant experience, from project conception to the final touches. His ability to listen to our words and understand our thoughts, to discuss details of plans and budget, and to work together with the designers was outstanding. We loved working with Alan and his team and highly recommend him. We renovated our main floor including kitchen, bathroom and living room and took down one wall. We're thrilled with the results. Alan was great to work with, always friendly and was super responsive. He also has a great professional team that he works with including Ivy House design and Splinters, it made a big difference working with a single team. We also really appreciated Alan's attention to our budget, from regular updates to telling us the impact of any decisions that came up after the fact. We went with custom cabinets which were more expensive but love them, and the trade-off was we went cheaper on the floor with vinyl plank which we are also very happy with, it kept us inline with our target budget. The whole experience was very positive and the quality of the work was excellent. We would absolutely hire Alan again for future reno's.

Alan and his team were fantastic - they worked on our house in Victoria and were quick to respond, on time every day, and courteous and efficient. We hired them on short notice and they were kind enough to accommodate our narrow timeline before we departed on an extended Sabbatical. While we were offshore, communication was instantaneous and satisfactory. The work was of high standard, and any suggestions and recommendations they made were well considered and never self-serving. We would highly recommend them - in fact, we plan to use them for the next phase of our renovations.

Alan was amazing. We were coordinating a complete bathroom renno down to the studs from the other side of the country, and he patiently answered all our questions and organised a timeline that worked for us . The workmanship across all the trades was of the highest quality, and the project came in under budget, and well within specified timeframe. Could not be happier with the final product. We sometimes go into the bathroom just to marvel at the difference!

We hired Alan O’Rouke Construction to do renovations to two bathrooms. From the first time we spoke with Alan about the project, we were pleased with the ease of sharing our plans and our design style with him. He was an excellent listener who gave meaningful suggestions about design, safety and budgetary issues. It was such a pleasure to have Alan work on my house. I was a novice at renovations and he took the time to explain and clear up any confusion I had regarding codes, etc. He has great communication skills and always had a smile on his face no matter how stressful the project got. He was always on time and stayed within the budget. I would and have recommended him to friends and tradesman. I have heard nothing but praise from trades that work with him. He framed the interior, installed beautiful stairs and trim work in the entire house.

We hired Alan O’Rourke to assist us with renovations and repairs after weather related damage to our home. The work consisted of removing a brick wood burning fireplace and installing a gas fireplace, new walls and ceilings, hardwood floors, tile work and exterior walls. While the need for this work was sudden and unexpected, Alan was able to guide us in our decision making and offer realistic ideas and suggestions. The budget was always discussed and never exceeded. As for the quality of the work, it exceeded our expectations and the finished product was wonderful. Both Alan and his crew were always competent, reliable and professional. Complete redo of our entire main floor which included new mudroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining room and relocation of stair case. Our project involved a lot of structural work with posts, beams and a new roof line. We were able to trouble shoot in a timely matter which is key to staying on time and on budget. Alan is very thorough with his planning and gives very accurate estimates of time and budget with the available information he has. We used him to refurbish our raised sundeck out back, a few years ago. Currently we have him working on a large renovation of reconfiguring our kitchen, bathroom and closets, along with developing our basement. We are currently near the half way mark of the project. He is very proactive and organized in arranging his trades people and keeps a close eye on everything. He has many good ideas and options for managing the unexpected. His core team and his various trades are all very helpful, reliable and respectful. He is very good with communicating by phone immediately. And by email by days end, if not immediately.

Allan completed an upgrade to my kitchen two years ago. He changed a very ugly, dark steel door and small window for a very beautiful 3 piece patio door and installed a new large window on a side wall. This reno, while small by comparison to many other jobs, meant so much to me and my family. He was very professional and completely reliable, communicating daily. As a single woman raising two teenagers, he made what could have been a scary experience, into one that was calm and efficient, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I recommend him highly.
