Whether involved in a full scale renovation, creating a furniture layout or a finish palette, acknowledging the architecture of a space is the first step. For more than 20 years, Abigail Shachat of AJS Designs has worked to blend her clients’ individual needs with the best qualities of their sites. It is an approach that transcends the idea of a particular style, creating spaces that appear more destined than arranged. Since establishing AJS Designs in 1992, she has assembled a talented group of architects and designers who are focused on offering exceptional service to their clients. AJS Design/s provides expertise in all phases of design, decoration and the construction process. Ms. Shachat holds a Bachelor of Science in Design and Environmental Analysis with honors, from Cornell University and a Master of Fine Arts in Design from The Cranbrook Academy of Art. Her education and experience provide a distinctive basis for analyzing and generating design solutions. An interest in contemporary art and architecture, as well as a strong sense of craft, inform and inspire the spaces and objects that she creates.

Classic Rug Collection, Inc.

For 13 years, I have designed and produced high-end custom rugs for Abby Shachet's projects across the USA. What I like most about Abby's work is that she never repeats herself; she always develops a new design that complements the space and the client with which she is working. Sometimes Abby creates her own rug, or we design something together; we meet repeatedly until we have determined the most pleasing design and color palette. It is this attention to detail that truly sets Abby apart from other designers. Abby's staff is equally professional, so the client benefits from a team of seasoned interior designers. I hired AJS to undertake a complete renovation of a large pre- war apartment. AJS created a unique home combining great attention to classic detail along with modern elements. The style and quality of the finishes are timeless. Working with AJS was a total pleasure, Abby oversaw every aspect of the design and renovation process, stuck to the budget (a rare occurrence) and provided choices at every step. I am a real estate broker and I have also referred Abby to many clients without reservation and with great success.

They have a a great network of contractors and custom tradespeople, and combine imagination and practicality in smart ways that will bring some measure of serenity to your living spaces.

I hired Abby after the great job she did on our house in East Hampton, NY. For this project, we were doing minor renovations and major decorating on a new 4 bedroom apartment. While Abby has many design talents, she excels at space planning, color choice and furniture design. She repositioned some closets to make them more efficient and improve the flow of the apartment. As for color, we painted each room a different and unique color which made a huge difference. We also had Abby design all our cabinetry and some assorted pieces of furniture. All were exactly what we were looking for. As for the decorating process, she thoughtfully and meticulously chose furniture, window treatment, carpeting and rugs that made each room a beautifully unique space. While we did allow ourselves to buy very high end furniture and fixtures for most rooms, Abby was understanding and just as effective when we wanted to keep the costs down on other pieces. All in all, we are once again thrilled with Abby's work and her skilled and dedicated team.

コメント：is the backsplash hammered sheet metal?This is not sheet metal but a mosaic done with glass mirrors tiles that comes in 12 x 12 sheets.
