Adams and Collingwood were instrumental in helping us realise our dream of building a beautiful timber framed house in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We decided to project mange the build ourselves, partly because we knew we could rely on the support and expert advise of Adams and Collingwood - and we could not have done it without them. Rob and Tamsin listened and expertly guided us every step of the way. From the initial conversations about planning permission, to helping us navigate through the intricacies of building regulations right up to choosing sanitary ware, they provided invaluable support throughout. Most importantly however is the unique and wonderful design of the house. Rob and Tamsin understood our site was in a special and protected rural area and designed the house accordingly. The materials used blend into the landscape beautifully (cedar shingle roof, local stone and cedar adding) and the garage is cleverly hidden underground. They advised on an upside down house to maximise the views and we now have the most spectacular upstairs living space with a stunning timber frame exposed. Rob designed an elegant roof with French drains to avoid the need for gutters, and as we needed to build into a steep slope, he designed the living space downstairs so that the bathrooms are along the back and the bedrooms are still full of light. But it wasn't only the aesthetics Adams and Collingwood were concerned with - they thought about insulation, soundproofing, alternative energy supplies (we went with GSHP and UFH) and landscaping. We are utterly thrilled with the house and Rob, Tamsin and team were a joy to work with throughout the entire process. Photos are attached - we are nearing completion but still have the scaffolding up etc. Rob has also designed the driveway and landscaping which is currently taking place.

We hired C&A to completely redesign our downstairs area which involved moving walls to repositioning a cloakroom. The architect, Tamsin, listened carefully and provided us with a creative and cost effective solution that fit our desired goals. The team at Adams & Collingwood are very professional and easy to work with, we highly recommend them.

Adams and Collingwkf designed a new build four bedroom and four bathroom terraced house terraced house to replace an existinf two bedroom and one bathroom terrace house. This was a complicated project which encountered serious difficulties from the contractor and neighbours. However, Adams and Collingwood dealt with the issues with professionalism and care in order to ensure that the project continued to progress. The finished building is an architectural triumph and meets a complicates brief perfectly.

We are current clients of A+C Architects. The service they have provided has been exceptional with personable architects (we work with Tamsin), excellent advice and holistic thinking. Tamsin is proactive and creative and has allowed us to see out home in a new light (literally) with a complete rethink that we didn't think would be possible. The team have guided us through the stages of our pre-app and have guided us with measured survey suppliers. The team are really invested in the project and really get to understand the needs of their clients. I can't rate them highly enough.

We have worked with Adams+Collingwood Architects on a number of projects now - most recently on a new build family home in Hampshire as well as a townhouse in Kensington in London - we made the bespoke kitchens for both these projects. We have always found the A+C team to be brilliant to work alongside, always exacting in their work and utterly professional. We would not hesitate to recommend them.
