Aanensen’s is truly a group of expert craftsmen and professionals who go above and beyond in every aspect of their service. Sitting down for our initial design consultation we felt heard and understood in the vision for our kitchen. Attention was paid to even the smallest detail to make the space exactly as we hoped for. So, we decided to order cabinets for our laundry room, too! After we excitedly placed our order, we ran into an issue with the cabinet manufacturer who unexpected closed. Without hesitation, Aanensen’s took it upon themselves to honor our order and provide us with a superior quality cabinetry for our space. On delivery day, we could not believe how gorgeous the cabinetry was, far exceeding any expectations we may have had! During installation of the crown molding it was visible to see the old world knowledge of carpentry Aanensen’s builders have. At every level Aanenesen’s exhibited expertise and professionalism in creating a beautiful kitchen and laundry room for our home. We could not be more pleased and will definitely be going back to complete additional projects!

We had Aanensen's remodel our kitchen 40 years ago when we first moved in to our home. We still live there and we decided that it was time to update our kitchen once again and requested estimates from a few different sources. Although Aanensen's was not the least expensive estimate, they offered the most options for choices of material. We worked with Matt and John Gomez, both were professional and helpful in the design and selection of materials! The craftsmanship was superb just as it was the first time they completed work for us! The attention to detail was even more in evidence than the first time. If I live another 40 years I'll higher them again!

I have worked along side The Aanensen's for 25 years or more. Of course the level of expertise is beyond compare. Of course the craftsmanship is unmatched. And as you would expect the excellence of execution is singular. But the icing on their cake is the ethics and personal touch. I have never worked with another custom cabinet and kitchen design and build firm that brought what Ted and Matt Aanensen bring to each and every project they perform. The size and scope of the project is not part of the equation. They treat their clients like precious gem stones! I have never heard Ted or Matt say no to a client request, no matter how out of scope the request may be. They will always help their clients make the right choice, in each situation that may arise during the process of executing on the project. And once they finish your kitchen renovation you will definitely want them to remodel your bathrooms and many other home remodeling projects as well. How many firms are still fabricating cabinets in their own shop? In N.J. you can count them on one hand. Don't sign up with any other competing firm until you meet with the Aanensen's.

Truly the no hassle team to get a project done of any size! We were searching for someone to remodel / change the layout of our kitchen along with the general flow on the first floor. Matt provided suggestions / solutions and listened to our needs / desires and helped to balance those vs the budget. Aanensen's says once you are a customer you are one for life - they stand by that and their work. They have suggested other contractors whom we continue to do work (roofers), while worked with some of our long time subcontractors. A suspect few would do this. We are working towards having Matt do our kitchen in our new house (since moved) and have no hesitations whatsoever. Fully recommend Matt & Aanensen's Designers for any work you may have to do.

I have known the Aanensen's for my whole life. To date I have not lived in a home they did not touch in some way. When I purchased my first home I knew they would know exactly what to do to make my master bath and closets exactly what I wanted them to be. The plan they came up with and executed exceeded my expectations when I purchased my home. You can trust them for doing the highest quality work. They understand beautiful architecture and how to make something functional for your family.

You get what you pay for. Professional, educated, responsible and responsive, complete, quality work. Just a few of the words that come to mind when referring Aanensen's. We have worked with them for over 12 years on multiple homes. Never disappointed. Use them for the whole project!! We are so confident in their work we usually schedule the project for when we are away. When we return the job is completed and is exactly what we expected. Matt is amazing and gives us a realistic picture of the completed space and discusses pros and cons of all options. His background in architecture allows us to eliminate a layer of professionals when working on a project. We have used many other contractors and architects in the past and we usually walk around afterwards just noticing where they cut corners and didn't finish that last little bit. Not with Aanensens, We have a hard time finding anything that isn't finished properly. Aanensen's has worked with us on 2 kitchens, one master bath/bedroom, 2 closets, paneled Billiard room, Family room, laundry room, Powder room, and is currently assisting us on a partial remodel of our home in California. Throughout all of this time, they have assisted on and been a resource for us on too many projects to name, but everything from interior/exterior painting to getting our TV to work properly. Use them!! you won't be disappointed.

Aanensen's remodeled our basement about 7 years ago. The space was inefficiently used and the wood paneling was dated. We worked with Matt to develop a plan that maximized the functional space for a den, was within our budget and looks great. Matt and the team handled everything with permits, subcontractors, inspections, etc. Each night after the crew had left for the day, we'd go downstairs and witness the transformation from musty cellar to a modern, yet cozy space. I've worked with a lot of contractors but until we used Aanensen's for this project, we didn't know how a great designer and builder can make a difference. Their attention to detail in even the smallest notches of molding or installation of cabinet hardware impresses our friends who see the basement. We've since hired Aanensen's again for a few additional small projects around the house and will use them again whenever we have a renovation project.

We have been Aanensen’s customers for the past 30 years because we value their commitment to quality, communication, timeliness and follow-up service. We initially hired Aanensen’s to makeover a bathroom in our first house. We were so delighted with the results that we proceeded to add three more projects comprised of renovations to the kitchen/great room, two additional baths, laundry room, entry door and foyer as well as custom built-ins for the family room and bedrooms. When our dream house came on the market, we jumped at the chance but knew that the one hundred year old house would need updating for contemporary family living. We immediately called Ted to determine if we could achieve our vision for the property. We trusted Aanensen’s to take the lead on a complete renovation including both interior and exterior of the house, an addition for the kitchen and breakfast room, a wine cellar, a new three car garage with guest suite above, slate roof and copper gutters, pool with pool house, underground infrastructure for utilities and water retention as well as extensive hardscaping and plantings. Based on Ted’s recommendations, we built an exceptional team that collaborated well. We were impressed by Aanensen’s coordination of all the subcontractors’ schedules and billings. We appreciated their adherence to our timeline so we could move in over the summer and settle in before the school year started. One of the hallmarks of an Aanensen’s job is the commitment to prompt follow-up service and we are forever grateful that it remains one of their top priorities. The challenge we presented Aanensen’s was to preserve the beauty and charm of a an old house while bringing it into the 21st century. The restoration exceeded our expectations! Our dream house was transformed into a dream home where we enjoyed many happy years entertaining family and friends. We would highly recommend Aanensen’s for any project… big or small!
