Landscape and Waterfall Creations

Let me start by saying Bill wanted to hire me but I declined. Here's the story--I met with Bill in October 2016 and worked with him for several months on his front and backyard plan. We emailed dozens of times and I spent many hours working with him on his design. The picture he chose to display is part of one of our preliminary designs. I've attached the "real" plan I gave him below. He chose not to display this for obvious reasons. He told me his budget was $50k when I met with him in October(this is for front and backyard) which is a very solid budget, so I designed based on that number. Early this year his budget changed which I told him was fine but we would have cut some items. He wanted the most expensive boulders, seat walls, artificial turf and lots of stamped concrete. The concrete cost was around $25k which included flatwork and seat walls, stairs etc.. Which means my portion was $25k or so. He wanted very large trees etc... When I gave him the bid I gave him many options to reduce cost. We eliminated some of the 30' seat walls and artificial turf and came down to his budget. Then I had some large projects come in to contract before he made up his mind and I told him I wouldn't be able to do his work this year. This is when Bill apparently got mad and decided he would try to negatively effect my business by submitting this review. One of Bill's final emails to me he talked about complaining to the Contractors State License Board about a different contractor (few years earlier) for not making him happy. I did the right thing deciding not to work for Bill. I am very flexible with budgets of any size in fact my next project is a $5k front yard. Below is a picture of the plan I did for Bill.
