Feldco Windows, Siding and Doors

We had a bow window installed to replace original picture window on 1955 era house as well as an additional small living room window. The large bow window was supposed to be painted white, it wasn't. The installation crew tried to hide the fact that the smaller side window was clearly the wrong size and attempted to install anyways and tell me it was correct when it wasn't even installed in the center of the space. It took multiple visits to correct problem when the installer should have clearly declined to install the windows in the first place knowing they were incorrect. Entire process dragged on for many months and caused me to miss multiple days of work. After seeing the poor quality of their workmanship, I will choose to use a better provider.

Shortly after buying our house, we contacted Feldco to get new windows put in, as the old windows were barely functional. The initial sales rep that came out to our house was professional & did a great job going over our options & getting things to a price that was reasonable. The install date was roughly a month later - the install crew worked quickly & with a minimal amount of mess. They even went ahead & provided us some tips on finishing out the trim on the windows - which we did ourselves (Feldco won't do that part). We did have a few issues after installation. We noticed that one of the screens was torn - we missed it on the post-install walkthrough with the Feldco rep, no big deal. They have a lifetime screen replacement policy - you can take the screen back to a local office and they'll re-screen it. We dropped it off, and it took longer than we were expecting to get it back. When we did get it back, it was bowed significantly in the center - about 1/2", and no longer sealed. Since it was winter, we didn't worry about it too much, we had a lot of other projects going on & wanted to deal with it in the spring. In the spring, we noticed that two other screens didn't fit 'cleanly', one was impossible to get back in after removal, and the other was too short. We contacted Feldco, who had another rep come out & take measurements for new screens. A few weeks later, we had 100% new screens dropped off. They fit better, but still not perfect. Upon closer examination, some of the corners of the vinyl window frames aren't 100% square - they're out 1/8 to 3/16" at the corner. Additionally, some of the trim isn't 100% square and/or level - I feel like quality of the windows & the install job could have been a little better. I know picture-perfect work is hard to accomplish, but I feel like things could have overall been better. Its only noticeable since they're on the level of our deck - and once you see it, its one of those things you can't 'un-see'. Not great, not terrible, but an 'okay' experience. I'd probably shop around more for my next job.

We bought new windows for the entire house from Feldco and had a great experience. The new windows are wonderful and the installers were both professional and friendly. The entire company seemed to go out of their way to make us satisfied! The installers even hung up my custom curtains- totally not part of their job, but they did it for free! We plan on using them again to replace our front door.
