After many years of careful consideration and planning, these clients came to us with the goal of restoring this home’s original Victorian charm while also increasing its livability and efficiency. From preserving the original built-in cabinetry and fir flooring, to adding a new dormer for the contemporary master bathroom, careful measures were taken to strike this balance between historic preservation and modern upgrading. Behind the home’s new exterior claddings, meticulously designed to preserve its Victorian aesthetic, the shell was air sealed and fitted with a vented rainscreen to increase energy efficiency and durability. With careful attention paid to the relationship between natural light and finished surfaces, the once dark kitchen was re-imagined into a cheerful space that welcomes morning conversation shared over pots of coffee. Every inch of this historical home was thoughtfully considered, prompting countless shared discussions between the home owners and ourselves. An elegant pewter counter top, farmhouse sink, subway tile back splash, and sparkling chandeliers make this kitchen great for cooking a gourmet treat or entertaining your favorite people. We had a lot of fun with this beautiful project.

Accentuate your kitchen interior with the Southern Reserve Hutch. This cabinet features three drawers and three interior shelves. The drawer has metal gliders for smooth gliding and an easy to pull out knobs.

The owners wanted to keep the existing black and white tiles. The new kitchen is designed to complement the floor tiles and the Victorian period style of the terrace house.

These homeowners decided to do a partial home renovation to make their home more of a functional space as well as make it more of a entertainment space. THE KITCHEN, WHILE IT DOES NEED A RENO, STILL PROVIDES AN OPEN AND AIRY WORK SPACE. THE ISLAND DOES PROVIDE SOME SEATING, AND THERE'S AN ORIGINAL BUTLER'S PANTRY. THE BASEMENT/MOTHER IN LAW UNIT IS ACCESSED THROUGH THE DOOR TO THE LEFT. THERE'S HUGE POTENTIAL IN THIS SPACE!
