玄関ホールと一体だった、洗面脱衣室を間仕切り個室としました。 洗濯機用の排水が無く、給水は洗面台からの露出配管だったので、新たに緊急止水弁付の専用水栓と防水パンを設け、使い勝手の良いランドリールームになりました。

The “Rustic Classic” is a 17,000 square foot custom home built for a special client, a famous musician who wanted a home befitting a rockstar. This Langley, B.C. home has every detail you would want on a custom build. For this home, every room was completed with the highest level of detail and craftsmanship; even though this residence was a huge undertaking, we didn’t take any shortcuts. From the marble counters to the tasteful use of stone walls, we selected each material carefully to create a luxurious, livable environment. The windows were sized and placed to allow for a bright interior, yet they also cultivate a sense of privacy and intimacy within the residence. Large doors and entryways, combined with high ceilings, create an abundance of space. A home this size is meant to be shared, and has many features intended for visitors, such as an expansive games room with a full-scale bar, a home theatre, and a kitchen shaped to accommodate entertaining. In any of our homes, we can create both spaces intended for company and those intended to be just for the homeowners - we understand that each client has their own needs and priorities. 2世帯7人家族が暮らす大工の家である。 外壁は1階をモルタル掻き落とし、2階を赤身の吉野杉押縁張の2トーンとして全体のヴォリュームを和らげている。 トンネル状に設けたポーチから繋がった大きな土間は来客の多い親世帯のサロンスペースとし、階段は2世帯の動線が独立する位置に据えると同時に、その周りに回遊性も生み出している。 子世帯の2階は幼い3人の子どもに合わせて大きなワンルームにとどめ、バッファとしてロフトを浮かべて梯子を掛け将来の子供部屋とした。
