The powder room is really large for just a sink and toilet and its always the best place to get a little creative and crazy- its where you can take chances. The client fell in love with this retro-inspired wallpaper with hexagon shapes that mimic the white hex tiles on the floor. Its really the only color happening in the space so going bold felt possible.

Updated Spec Home: Basement Bathroom In our Updated Spec Home: Basement Bath, we reveal the newest addition to my mom and sister’s home – a half bath in the Basement. Since they were spending so much time in their Basement Family Room, the need to add a bath on that level quickly became apparent. Fortunately, they had unfinished storage area we could borrow from to make a nice size 8′ x 5′ bath. Working with a Budget and a Sister We were working with a budget, but as usual, my sister and I blew the budget on this awesome patterned tile flooring. (Don’t worry design clients – I can stick to a budget when my sister is not around to be a bad influence!). With that said, I do think this flooring makes a great focal point for the bath and worth the expense! On the Walls We painted the walls Sherwin Williams Sea Salt (SW6204). Then, we brought in lots of interest and color with this gorgeous acrylic wrapped canvas art and oversized decorative medallions. All of the plumbing fixtures, lighting and vanity were purchased at a local big box store. We were able to find streamlined options that work great in the space. We used brushed nickel as a light and airy metal option. As you can see this Updated Spec Home: Basement Bath is a functional and fabulous addition to this gorgeous home. Blue is the star of this upstairs bathroom! We love combining wallpapers, especially when paired with some playful art! This bathroom has modern blue floral wallpaper with the existing tile flooring from the 1920's. A rug is placed in the sitting area, giving a pop of pink to match the modern artwork in the toilet room.

Andersherum kann auch - vor allem durch mit schmalen Fugenbreiten verlegte Großformate - eine durchgehende, optisch dezente Flächenwirkung beim Fliesen geschaffen werden. Als Akzentfliesen eignen sich graue Fliesen im Badezimmer wegen ihrer zurückhaltenden Optik weniger - wohl aber als Haupt-Fliese die das gesamte Design im Bad bestimmt.

From drab to fab. Your powder room could look like this! The custom vanity by Old Mill Wood Works sets the stage for the quartz counter top from Viatera USA in minuet, fabricated by Counterfitters, and it flows naturally with the shiplap from Guerry Lumber, and paints from Benjamin Moore, all in coherence with the California Faucets in satin chrome finish sourced by Sandpiper, and light fixtures from Circa Lighting, all helped to create a light, modern feel in this 1800’s Historic Savannah home.

This look was inspired by bringing a nautical style up to date. The statement boat scene wallpaper sets the tone of the room contrasting beautifully with the slate grey fisherman's pendant light, tiles and accessories - bringing a more industrial edge to the theme.
