Basement bedroom with glass ceiling

My client needed to turn a basement studio space into a young girls bedroom. It was dark and cramped so I suggested we open it up visually with a custom built glass floor in the living room to allow light into the space. A futon sat atop a built-in dresser to serve as the bed. To make it fun I built a crooked bookcase and a fire-red desk.
