Modern Farmhouse Remodel

Everling Interiors, LLC Location: Leesburg, VA, USA Clients were thinking of selling their home and building a farmhouse but hired me instead to give their home a modern farmhouse feel. I had all rooms re-painted a neutral light warm grey/beige color. Had backsplash in kitchen re-tiled in a glazed grey 10"x3" tile with a dark charcoal grout. We painted the hood and fireplace mantel a charcoal as well to complement. I refinished the armoire in the foyer, the cabinets in the office as well as the desk, all to bring in the farmhouse feel. Brought in several cowhide pattern rugs to bring in the natural elements and to tie in the existing furnishings. Put together custom black and white canvas artwork to pull in a little character. Replaced the chandeliers over the island and kitchen table with rustic wood elements to give more of a rustic look into the home. Replaced and or repainted the lamps and artwork throughout to pull the look together. Completed transformed the look and feel of the home from traditional to modern farmhouse. The clients can now enjoy their farmhouse without having to move away from their home!
