This beautiful contemporary home office was designed for multiple activities. First we needed to provide all of the required office functions from computer and the associated hardware to a beautiful as well as functional desk and credenza. The unusual shape of the ceilings was a design inspiration for the cabinetry. Functional storage installed below open display centers brought together practical and aesthetic components. The furnishings were designed to allow work and relaxation in one space. comfortable sofa and chairs combined in a relaxed conversation area, or a spot for a quick afternoon nap. A built in bar and large screen TV are available for entertaining or lounging by the fire. cleverly concealed storage keeps firewood at hand for this wood-burning fireplace. A beautiful burnished brass light fixture completes the touches of metallic accents.

This house features a beautiful 2 story high library office with skylights and tall chandelier. We used white paper covered books to let the beautiful wood finish shine.

My client, who works from home full time in Pennsylvania, asked us to give her an office space that functions well for a hard working accountant, AND would also be a retreat for her during off work hours. Our solution: Split the room down the middle; half office and half lounge area. We tied the spaces together through color (her obsession with teal and pink). We refaced the fireplace and added a built in bookcase to house her love of books. A very capable desk keeps her organized. We gave her a creative way to display her kids artwork and medals from her triathlon competitions using chicken wire frames. New wall sconces, comfortable furniture, and lots of fun accents bring juicy color in, even on the dreariest of days. What a bright lovely office with lots of storage! Torva Terra Photography

View of the spiral staircase which led down to an enclosed TV area where we crafted a custom TV unit and slated dividing screen using walnut.
The library itself featured an oak study desk, bookshelf and oak work desk. Crafted from oak and finished in a rich Farrow and Ball Stiffkey Blue, the study desk featured solid oak drawers and work top and also custom designed tier shelving.
Alongside this, we also designed and crafted a drinks cabinet with an antique mirror back and a polished Carrara stone top. The lower cabinets were covered with a leather like material.
We finished the cabinets with round brass handles from Armac Martin and also inserted brass inlay into the cabinetry, which continued the theme from the wine wall in the kitchen.

This home's formal living room was repurposed as the wife's home office. A new mirror wall of custom cabinetry was added to provide much needed storage. Two lounge chairs provide additional seating for family members. The blue and coral color scheme is a homeowner favorite.
