The entrance of this home doubles as a home office. When the desk is not in use, it can be folded up with the laptop and accessories stored away easily. Directly to the left of the desk is a lockable printing and storage cabinet. Above that is a file cabinet with a bi-fold door to allow for unencumbered access while working. Above the desk is shallow storage with overhead door for smaller boxes and reference materials requiring infrequent access. To the right of the desk is an open-shelf library and display case for favourite coffee table books. Behind the display case is a secret storage area for valuable items.
In front of the window is a bench that doubles as storage. Accessible from the top of the bench is storage for school bags, outdoor toys & accessories and an electrical outlet with power bar that feeds power to the desk unit. Accessible from the front of the bench through cabinet doors are work files, stationary and extra shoes. Across from the desk are coat hooks, shelves above with bamboo baskets, and shoe storage below topped with accessory baskets.
