In the divide between the kitchen and family room, we built storage into the buffet. We applied moulding to the columns for an updated and clean look. Sleek and contemporary, this beautiful home is located in Villanova, PA. Blue, white and gold are the palette of this transitional design. With custom touches and an emphasis on flow and an open floor plan, the renovation included the kitchen, family room, butler’s pantry, mudroom, two powder rooms and floors. Цветовая палитра выбрана спокойная, приглушенная, с использованием природных цветов. . В зоне TV стена оформлена шпонированными дубовыми панелями, решение, которое заказчики изначально хотели видеть в отделке кухни-гостиной. В качестве напольного покрытия выбрали инженерную доску из дуба, тонированную в теплый медовый оттенок.

Previously used as an office, this space had an awkwardly placed window to the left of the fireplace. By removing the window and building a bookcase to match the existing, the room feels balanced and symmetrical. Panel molding was added (by the homeowner!) and the walls were lacquered a deep navy. Bold modern green lounge chairs and a trio of crystal pendants make this cozy lounge next level. A console with upholstered ottomans keeps cocktails at the ready while adding two additional seats. Cornflower blue drapery frame the french doors and layer another shade of blue. Silk floral pillows have a handpainted quality to them and establish the palette. Hanging the birch tree pieces from chain add a layer of drama to the room.

Beautiful agate-pattern wool-viscose carpet repeats the grand entrance wallpaper. Gold accents throughout the composition keep the mood contemporary. Installation of b&b and detail work by Alain Gelinas at O Bout du Rouleau.

We connected with our client for this project via Instagram. He had this beautiful study with wainscoting details and beautiful millwork already in place, so we were immediately excited! The ask was for a magazine-ready look, something very textural with dark colors and high drama.
