Lacking a proper entry wasn't an issue in this small living space, with the makeshift coat rack for hats scarves and bags, and a tray filled with small river stones for shoes and boots. This basement needed a serious transition, with light pouring in from all angles, it didn't make any sense to do anything but finish it off. Plus, we had a family of teenage girls that needed a place to hangout, and that is exactly what they got. 既存玄関ホールの吹抜けに床を貼りペットコーナーにしたリフォーム。構造上抜けなかった柱は麻縄を巻き、猫の爪とぎにした。巻いているそばから興味津々で巻き終わると共に早速嬉しそうに爪を砥ぎ始めた。大成功である。 右側に見えるFRPグレーチング＋強化ガラスの床は、2階の光を玄関に取り込む効果に加え、猫たちがこの上に乗ってくれれば玄関から可愛い肉球を拝めるというサプライズ効果もある。

This 1600+ square foot basement was a diamond in the rough. We were tasked with keeping farmhouse elements in the design plan while implementing industrial elements. The client requested the space include a gym, ample seating and viewing area for movies, a full bar , banquette seating as well as area for their gaming tables - shuffleboard, pool table and ping pong. By shifting two support columns we were able to bury one in the powder room wall and implement two in the custom design of the bar. Custom finishes are provided throughout the space to complete this entertainers dream.
