Popular Scandinavian-style interiors blog 'These Four Walls' has collaborated with Kährs for a scandi-inspired, soft and minimalist living room makeover. Kährs worked with founder Abi Dare to find the perfect hard wearing and stylish floor to work alongside minimalist decor. Kährs' ultra matt 'Oak Sky' engineered wood floor design was the perfect fit. "I was keen on the idea of pale Nordic oak and ordered all sorts of samples, but none seemed quite right – until a package arrived from Swedish brand Kährs, that is. As soon as I took a peek at ‘Oak Sky’ ultra matt lacquered boards I knew they were the right choice – light but not overly so, with a balance of ashen and warmer tones and a beautiful grain. It creates the light, Scandinavian vibe that I love, but it doesn’t look out of place in our Victorian house; it also works brilliantly with the grey walls. I also love the matte finish, which is very hard wearing but has none of the shininess normally associated with lacquer" says Abi. Oak Sky is the lightest oak design from the Kährs Lux collection of one-strip ultra matt lacquer floors. The semi-transparent white stain and light and dark contrasts in the wood makes the floor ideal for a scandi-chic inspired interior. The innovative surface treatment is non-reflective; enhancing the colour of the floor while giving it a silky, yet strong shield against wear and tear. Kährs' Lux collection won 'Best Flooring' at the House Beautiful Awards 2017. At the foyer, a modern console table made of glass, stainless steel and slices of wood log welcome to the open living room. Above the modern console table a round mirror in gold and silver leaf add light and reflection. On the opposite wall, a stunning mural wallpaper creates the focal point of this modern living room. Featuring an abstract pattern in golden yellow, rust and slate. This mural is the backdrop behind the modern Italian design white leather sectional. The coffee table is made of reclaimed railway wood and stainless steel. Around this living room swivel lounge chairs upholstered in yellow faux leather add the pop of color to this scheme. A combination of sheer and Neolux Shades compose the custom made window treatments. All furniture, furnishings and accessories were provided by MH2G Furniture. Nelle foto di Luca Tranquilli, la nostra “Tradizione Innovativa” nel residenziale: un omaggio allo stile italiano degli anni Quaranta, sostenuto da impianti di alto livello. Arredi in acero e palissandro accompagnano la smaterializzazione delle pareti, attuata con suggestioni formali della metafisica di Giorgio de Chirico. Un antico decoro della villa di Massenzio a Piazza Armerina è trasposto in marmi bianchi e neri, imponendo – per contrasto – una tinta scura e riflettente sulle pareti. Di contro, gli ambienti di servizio liberano l’energia di tinte decise e inserti policromi, con il comfort di una vasca-doccia ergonomica - dotata di TV stagna – una doccia di vapore TylöHelo e la diffusione sonora. La cucina RiFRA Milano “One” non poteva che essere discreta, celando le proprie dotazioni tecnologiche sotto l‘etereo aspetto delle ante da 30 mm. L’illuminazione può abbinare il bianco solare necessario alla cucina, con tutte le gradazioni RGB di Philips Lighting richieste da uno spazio fluido. ---- Our Colosseo Domus, in Rome! “Innovative Tradition” philosophy: a tribute to the Italian style of the Forties, supported by state-of-the-art plant backbones. Maple and rosewood furnishings stand with formal suggestions of Giorgio de Chirico's metaphysics. An ancient Roman decoration from the house of emperor Massenzio in Piazza Armerina (Sicily) is actualized in white & black marble, which requests to be weakened by dark and reflective colored walls. At the opposite, bathrooms release energy by strong colors and polychrome inserts, offering the comfortable use of an ergonomic bath-shower - equipped with a waterproof TV - a TylöHelo steam shower and sound system. The RiFRA Milano "One" kitchen has to be discreet, concealing its technological features under the light glossy finishing of its doors.
