We moved away from our usual light, airy aesthetic toward the dark and dramatic in this formal living and dining space located in a spacious home in Vancouver's affluent West Side neighborhood. This is a quintessential Colorado home. Massive raw steel beams are juxtaposed with refined fumed larch cabinetry, heavy lashed timber is foiled by the lightness of window walls. Monolithic stone walls lay perpendicular to a curved ridge, organizing the home as they converge in the protected entry courtyard. This living room in a cozy cabin is adorned with a Wire Brushed Double Nickel Gap, Pakari Barnwood accent wall, which brings the cabin vibes from outside into the space inside. You'll also note that there is a shiplap wall adjacent, which tones down the browns and allows for a clean addition into the space. You can create a look like this in your home too.
