Die ansonsten grifflosen Lackfronten sind in einem matten Weiß gehalten und leicht in der Reinigung und Pflege zu handhaben. Optisch und haptisch einen guten Kontrast schafft die übergroße Beton-Matrixplatte mit eingearbeiteten Becken. Kein über dem Kochfeld befindlicher Dunstabzug stört den schlichten Raumeindruck. Stattdessen befindet sich im Kochfeld ein Dunstabzug von Bora, der die Luft nach unten abzieht.

The original kitchen was disjointed and lacked connection to the home and its history. The remodel opened the room to other areas of the home by incorporating an unused breakfast nook and enclosed porch to create a spacious new kitchen. It features stunning soapstone counters and range splash, era appropriate subway tiles, and hand crafted floating shelves. Ceasarstone on the island creates a durable, hardworking surface for prep work. A black Blue Star range anchors the space while custom inset fir cabinets wrap the walls and provide ample storage. Great care was given in restoring and recreating historic details for this charming Foursquare kitchen.

Our clients were seeking a classic and stylish Shaker kitchen with a contemporary edge, to complement the architecture of their five-year-old house, which features a modern beamed ceiling and herringbone flooring. They also wanted a kitchen island to include banquette seating surrounding one end of a large industrial-style dining table with an Ash wooden table top that our clients already owned. We designed the main run of in frame cabinetry with a classic cornice to completely fit within the recessed space along the back wall behind the island, which is hand-painted in Stewkey Blue by Farrow & Ball. This includes a central inglenook and an overmantel that conceals a Siemens canopy extractor hood above a white Everhot range cooker. Overhead cabinets and undercounter storage cupboards were included within the design, together with oak dovetailed deep drawer storage boxes. A Samsung American-style fridge freezer was also integrated within the run. A 30mm thick quartz worktop in Tuscany colourway extends on either side of the range cooker and this is repeated on the kitchen island as well, with an overhang on both sides of the u-shaped design to accommodate bar stools beneath. In the centre of the island, we created u-shaped banquette seating upholstered in grey velvet to surround one end of the large rectangular dining table. To store their collection of fine wines, we specified two undercounter wine conditioners by Miele to fit within each end of the island to store reds, whites and Champagnes. Along the length of the island, facing the Everhot is a large ceramic double-bowl Belfast sink by Shaws of Darwen and a Quooker Cube tap, providing hot, cold, boiling and sparkling water. On the task side of the island, two 60cm dishwashers by Miele are integrated at either end of the cabinetry together with storage for pull-out bins and utility items. On a further run to the left of the island, we designed and made a large Shaker two-door pantry larder, hand-painted in All White by Farrow & Ball and featuring deep dovetail drawer boxes beneath. Extending on either side of the pantry is natural oak contemporary open shelving to mix with the traditional design of the kitchen. A further freestanding cabinet with a natural solid oak top was handmade to sit beneath the client’s wall-mounted television. Cup handles and knobs are all brushed brass by Crofts and Assinder, with matching brass butt hinges.

Natural Nobilia Kitchen in Horsham, West Sussex A natural kitchen concept was the brief with this recent kitchen design and installation in the Mannings Heath, West Sussex area, and doesn’t it deliver. With the client’s home recently undergoing a significant single-story extension, the challenge for our Horsham showroom kitchen designer George Harvey was to create a design that makes the most of the spacious new kitchen and living area. With the extension creating a beautiful view of the client’s green garden space and the rolling country-side hills beyond, a natural kitchen dynamic, as the client desired was always a theme that would suit this property. During the design stage of this project designer George explored a number of textured kitchen options, including stone as well as a number of natural oak shades from German supplier Nobilia. The final scheme for this project combines the medium oak option with stone like worktops in a fantastic combination of two textured finishes. To meet the client’s brief for this project supplier choice was key. Although situated in a quaint West Sussex village, the contemporary extension that has taken place lends the space more so to a modern style kitchen. With the desired natural aesthetic, furniture from German supplier Nobilia was definitely the most suitable option for this project. Nobilia boast a huge collection of textured kitchens with several wood and stone-based furniture options to choose from. Alongside a great choice of textured ranges, decorative feature units are also plentiful across any kitchen choice – something that the client was keen to include throughout the project. After assessing various textured options, the client opted for units and cabinetry from the Structura range, which is an all-wood collection featuring light, medium, dark and black oak finishes. This design uses the medium oak option from the Structura range: Sierra Oak, to bring a lovely warm-wood texture to the kitchen and living space. To complement and add further texture Grey Slate Nobilia worktops have been incorporated from the premium Laminate worktop option Xtra. Nobilia Xtra worktops offer enhanced resistance to impact and swelling while remaining a cost effective and visually appealing work surface option. When we’re not socialising in the kitchen, we’re using appliances to cook, clean or store. So, the functionality of kitchen appliances is an all-important decision when renovating a kitchen space. Appliances from this kitchen are all supplied by Neff. A German supplier with a key emphasis on simplifying tasks for those who both do and don’t like spending time in the kitchen. The appliances chosen for this project are all of high specification, using a combination of N90, N70 and N50 models with an array of useful innovations. N90 Neff ovens used for this project utilise the iconic Slide & Hide door, but there’s more to these ovens than that. Features like roast assist, pyrolytic cleaning and Home Connect make big tasks simple, with optimum cooking times, easy cleaning options and the ability to control it all via a tablet, mobile phone or home speaker. To boil, steam and fry an 80cm induction hob is included in this kitchen, which features four cooking zones including an expansive flexInduction cooking space. This appliance works in harmony with an integrated extractor that is built-in to cabinetry directly above the hob. Other integrated appliances include full height refrigerator and freezer, both with Nofrost technology as well as an undermounted N50 dishwasher. Like appliances, kitchen accessories play a vital part in the day-to-day use of the kitchen space, they are also a great way to tailor a kitchen space to the way you want to use it. A key differential for this project is dual sinks, which have been designed to fulfil the way the client wants to use their space. The larger inset sink is designated to cleaning, tailored to its purpose with a larger bowl and draining area. The second sink and tap are made to be used while cooking or entertaining, with a Quooker boiling tap featuring for simple access to 100°C boiling water. Both sinks are from German supplier Blanco and utilise their composite sink option in the complementary Rock Grey texture. A great way to create a unique kitchen space is through the use of feature units, and this is something the client was keen to do throughout this project. Throughout the kitchen glazed glass units, exposed units and feature end shelving have all been incorporated to create a distinguishable space. These units have been used to enhance the natural theme, with deep green indoor plants adding to the jungle like aesthetic. The client has even added to sideboard style storage with elegant pink herringbone tiling and a rustic style shelf which is a beautiful kitchen addition. Another great aspect incorporated into this project is the use of lighting. A vast amount of light comes through the well-designed extension, creating a fantastic airy space throughout the kitchen and living area. But in addition to this, designer George has incorporated an abundance of undercabinet spotlighting and strip lighting which will only look better when natural light vanishes. For this project an extensive amount of design work has been undertaken including navigating several design combinations and defining a key theme that would dictate the dynamic of the home. Designer George has also done a fantastic job at incorporating all elements of the design brief through the use of unique feature units and natural texture. The client for this project opted for our dry-fit installation option, but we are well equipped to undertake complete kitchen installations with our fully employed team of tradespeople who can even undertake internal building work. This open plan space is split into segments using the long and narrow kitchen island and the dining table. It is clear to see how each of these spaces can have different uses.

Simon Taylor Furniture was commissioned to design and make an elegant in-frame Shaker kitchen for a couple in a detached Georgian house in a semi-rural setting at the end of a village in Aylesbury Vale, Buckinghamshire. The clients wanted the kitchen to have modern features and contemporary appliances but for the look to be in harmony with the rest of their property. The 30m² ground floor space had always been the kitchen and it has lots of natural light shining in from two aspects. Ornate architraves surround each of the leaded windows that feature recently restored original wooden shutters on either side of the deep set window sills, making an outstanding feature of the room. The bespoke kitchen furniture was designed, made and handpainted in Farrow & Ball Mole’s Breath for the island and Purbeck Stone for the cabinetry to perfectly complement these heritage features, which were also painted in Purbeck Stone. At the start of the project, the clients specified that they wanted a breakfast area with integrated Shaker style tongue and groove bench seating within the kitchen itself. They have a separate formal dining room, so this was to be designed for more informal occasions. They also wanted lots of storage including a pantry cupboard, a bi-fold breakfast cupboard, pull out drawers for pots and pans and open shelving for cookery books. They wanted to have a kitchen island included for food preparation, but not for cooking and all of these requirements were incorporated within the design. As keen cooks, they also requested top of the range kitchen appliances and Miele Generation 7000 appliances were specified including an 80cm induction hob, 60cm Oven, 45cm Combination Steam Oven and 29cm warming drawer plus a 60cm fully integrated dishwasher. The French door fridge freezer is by Fisher and Paykel and a concealed canopy hood is by Siemens. The worksurface is 30mm Andromeda White Granite throughout; a classic pale granite from Sri Lanka with sharks nose edging that the clients had seen in the Simon Taylor Furniture showroom. A large double bowl sink is from the Zen 15 range from 1810 Company and the Mix lever tap is by Perrin and Rowe, with a further Boiling Water tap by Quooker.
