I always love when a client says “do what you think”. I had the best time designing this beach house for another adorable family. When I learned the homes history and the families Greek heritage, my brain entered Mykonos mode. They agreed and let me run with it. Both floors of the home went thru some major overhaul (pictures to come). Luckily I had a dream of a contractor and some magical tradespeople to work with. Not the quickest reno but I’ve learned in this business, nothing pretty comes easy or fast. The remodel solution for this client was a seamless process, as she possessed a clear vision and preferred a straightforward approach. Desiring a home environment characterized by cleanliness, simplicity, and serenity, she articulated her preferences with ease. Her discerning eye led her to select LVP flooring, providing the beauty of wood planks with the ease of maintenance. The pièce de résistance of the project was undoubtedly the kitchen countertops, crafted from stunning Quartzite Labradorite that evoked the depth of outer space. In selecting appliances, she and her partner favored simplicity and efficiency, opting for GE Cafe in a matte black finish to add a touch of warmth to the kitchen.

Accenting the teal glass backsplash tile is the cozy window seat with a colorful vibrant diamond pattern. In Small spaces you need to maximize every inch. In this space a custom bench seat was made to not only cozy up and read a book but also to use as storage for bigger beach items like umbrellas and an additional air mattress! A reading light and plug were added to the wall for additional light while reading and a place to change your phone while in use. The layered patterned pillows add fun and excitement to the small corner space. With a touch of beach decor the small studio apartment does not become overwhelmed with clique items. This home remodel consisted of opening up the kitchen space that was previously closed off from the living and dining areas, installing new flooring throughout the home, and remodeling both bathrooms. The goal was to make the main living space better for entertaining and provide a more functional kitchen for multiple people to be able to cook in at once. The result? Basically a whole new house!

A beautiful old home gets the kitchen renovation it deserves. Updates for the users and selections that suite the home’s history. The extension from outside during the daytime. The roof is inboard of the walls and, with parapet stones on top, all the drainage is hidden from view. The parapet walls are sufficient in height to conceal the skylights too.

We are so excited to share with you this beautiful kitchen remodel in Lakeville, MN. Our clients came to us wanting to take out the wall between the kitchen and the dining room. By taking out the wall, we were able to create a new larger kitchen! We kept the sink in the same location, and then moved the stove to the same wall as the sink. The fridge was moved to the far wall, we added an oven/micro combinations and a large pantry. We even had some extra room to create a desk space. The coolest thing about this kitchen is the DOUBLE island! The island closest to the sink functions as a working island and the other is for entertaining with seating for guests. What really shines here is the combination of color that creates such a beautiful subtle elegance. The warm gray color of the cabinets were paired with the brown stained cabinets on the island. We then selected darker honed granite countertops on the perimeter cabinets and a light gray quartz countertop for the islands. The slightly marbled backsplash helps to tie everything in and give such a richness to the whole kitchen. I love adding little pops throughout the kitchen, so matte black hardware and the matte black sink light are perfect! We are so happy with the final result of this kitchen!
