A daring combination of forms and finishes yielded an exciting contemporary/industrial hybrid. In a converted wedge-shaped factory building, this loft’s quirky shape was celebrated, not disguised. Contrasting flooring demarcates what is, in fact, a literal work triangle. The island’s unusual five-sided shape proudly reiterates the room’s footprint; the three waterfall ends accentuate its one-of-a-kind geometry. Four different materials were chosen to establish a playful dialogue between light, dark, and texture: caramel-stained rift cut oak on open cabinets; matte charcoal gray paint on tall and wall cabinets; brushed bronze oil-rubbed wire mesh inserts for bases; and panels in a laminate resembling knotty weathered wood. White quartz countertops provide a unifying feature. Open cabinets are singular for their asymmetrical placement and, in some spots, open-ended configuration within the tall units. The breathtaking dining table was fashioned from two free-form live edge planks, joined by a ribbon of clear epoxy resin, thus creating the illusion of a stream meandering through fallen trees. Black elements contribute an industrial edge: an open-framed metal wall shelf over the sink; iron table legs; a mix of dining chairs in mid-century wire mesh, molded plastic, and retro aluminum; and machinery castors on the low-slung coffee table. This luxury kitchen was designed for our clients based in Denham, West London. Tall ceiling high dark walnut units are designed across the outer of the kitchen. A stand out island takes centre stage with Siemens gas and induction hobs for cooking and space to fit up to 6 people. A pop up socket with plug and usb power is cleverly hidden within the worktop, allowing easy access to use worktop appliances or laptops when working from home. Beautifully lit brass shelves are incorporate into the design and match the warm brown and gold colour veins in the worktop. The kitchen features a bespoke hidden pantry and bar with carbon grey internal units. Appliances used through out the kitchen include, Siemens, Falmac and Quooker.

On the back wall of the kitchen, a notable change was removing the walls surrounding the pantry. Not only did this create a cleaner look, but it allowed for significantly more storage space inside the pantry. Freeing up storage space is the ultimate goal when you have a small kitchen! For that same reason, the lower cabinets were replaced with drawers. Often times, drawers are more efficient than lower cabinets because they allow you to use the entire space for storage, instead of having a lot of wasted space in the back of a large cabinet. Drawers are much easier to access and utilize for storing food items, cookware, and heavy dishes. The upper cabinets were also enhanced to optimize storage space, with the inclusion of adjustable shelving inside. Luxury Eggersmann kitchen, designer and in stalled by Diane Berry Kitchens, stunning porcelain floor by Lapicida, kitchen furniture by Eggersmann, with Quartz worktops and Vibia pendant lights over the island. Diane not only designed the kitchen but also a feature fireplace, black and gold room divider shelving, bar area and a walk in pantry.
