Split Level 1970 home of a young and active family of four. The main public spaces in this home were remodeled to create a fresh, clean look. The Jack + Mare demo'd the kitchen and dining room down to studs and removed the wall between the kitchen/dining and living room to create an open concept space with a clean and fresh new kitchen and dining with ample storage. Now the family can all be together and enjoy one another's company even if mom or dad is busy in the kitchen prepping the next meal. The custom white cabinets and the blue accent island (and walls) really give a nice clean and fun feel to the space. The island has a gorgeous local solid slab of wood on top. A local artisan salvaged and milled up the big leaf maple for this project. In fact, the tree was from the University of Portland's campus located right where the client once rode the bus to school when she was a child. So it's an extra special custom piece! (fun fact: there is a bullet lodged in the wood that is visible...we estimate it was shot into the tree 30-35 years ago!) The 'public' spaces were given a brand new waterproof luxury vinyl wide plank tile. I love working with clients that have ideas that I have been waiting to bring to life. All of the owner requests were things I had been wanting to try in an Oasis model. The table and seating area in the circle window bump out that normally had a bar spanning the window; the round tub with the rounded tiled wall instead of a typical angled corner shower; an extended loft making a big semi circle window possible that follows the already curved roof. These were all ideas that I just loved and was happy to figure out. I love how different each unit can turn out to fit someones personality. The Oasis model is known for its giant round window and shower bump-out as well as 3 roof sections (one of which is curved). The Oasis is built on an 8x24' trailer. We build these tiny homes on the Big Island of Hawaii and ship them throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

This LeClaire Iowa couple loved their views of the Mississippi River so much that they couldn’t leave them to build elsewhere. Instead, they worked with Wood Builders of the Quad Cities to rebuild a new home in the same location. The kitchen features Wynnbrooke Full Access Cabinetry in the Denali door painted white with a Pewter island. Black Stainless Steel KitchenAid appliances, Q Quartz Calacatta Laza countertops and our best-selling COREtec luxury vinyl plank flooring are also featured.

Most people would relate to the typical floor plan of a 1980's Brick Veneer home. Disconnected living spaces with closed off rooms, the original layout comprised of a u shaped kitchen with an archway leading to the adjoining dining area that hooked around to a living room behind the kitchen wall. The client had put a lot of thought into their requirements for the renovation, knowing building works would be involved. After seeing Ultimate Kitchens and Bathrooms projects feature in various magazines, they approached us confidently, knowing we would be able to manage this scale of work alongside their new dream kitchen. Our designer, Beata Brzozowska worked closely with the client to gauge their ideals. The space was transformed with the archway wall between the being replaced by a beam to open up the run of the space to allow for a galley style kitchen. An idealistic walk in pantry was then cleverly incorporated to the design, where all storage needs could be concealed behind sliding doors. This gave scope for the bench top to be clutter free leading out to an alfresco space via bi-fold bay windows which acted as a servery. An island bench at the living end side creates a great area for children to sit engaged in their homework or for another servery area to the interior zone. This home remodel consisted of opening up the kitchen space that was previously closed off from the living and dining areas, installing new flooring throughout the home, and remodeling both bathrooms. The goal was to make the main living space better for entertaining and provide a more functional kitchen for multiple people to be able to cook in at once. The result? Basically a whole new house!

The existing kitchen was VERY traditional which did not suite the new homeowners taste and more so their functional needs. They LOVE to cook and have all the kitchen tools to create anything from Italian dishes, Asian cuisine to the finest pastries. They needed space to store all of their cooking utensils and their current kitchen just didn’t offer that. The kitchen was confined and adding additional square footage was not possible, therefore our biggest challenge was to fit all their storage and appliance needs into the existing space. Timeless White Kitchen perfectly describes this beautiful remodel we completed over the winter. The original kitchen had 1970's dark oak cabinets with laminate countertops and backsplash. The shape of the kitchen was a U-Shape with upper cabinets over the peninsula, which made the kitchen feel dark and cut off from the rest of the home. For this remodel, took out the U-shape and gave them an L-shaped kitchen instead, giving them extra countertop to the right of the sink. To make up for the storage lost in the upper cabinets and peninsula, we designed a movable island, which could be added on as peninsula piece, an island in the center of the kitchen, or off to the side to allow for extra walking space. We love the functionality of just this piece! The cabinets are flat panel doors and drawers and painted antique white - so beautiful! The countertops on the perimeter are Cambria and the island is butcherblock walnut. The walnut top has 2 drop down leaves, so when needed the homeowner can extend them and create a 6 foot island! The backsplash is a crackled hand-made ceramic tile in a very pretty grey color. The design is in the details for this one for sure! The corner cabinet features a lazy susan, but with and extra 6 inches to incorporate tray storage. In the tall pantry cabinet, there is a lift up door to hide the microwave. One other feature is the hood! This thin hood pulls out when in use and then can be pushed back in when not, leaving a lot of space above the stove. We just love it! The homeowners had just replaced the floor, so we were able to keep that as well. We just love how this kitchen turned out. We wanted to make the kitchen light and bright, but still make sure it fit in with the rest of the home. This kitchen is sure to stand the test of time, from every day living to baking cookies at the holidays!

Esteem removed three existing internal walls to create this large open plan kitchen/dining/living space. We laid all-new hybrid flooring and installed a much larger kitchen for this family.
