Before, there was a U-shaped kitchen work area. The stove was in the center of the room. The wall opposite the sink was heavy with cabinetry. And a breakfast nook and dining room flanked both sides of the kitchen. There was builder grade tile on the floors, counters, and backsplash. The homeowners stressed to Clarissa that they were unhappy with the function of the kitchen. They needed more prep area as well as desired a more functional pantry space.

This remodel project in Kirkland involved a completely reimagined kitchen, nook, family room and outdoor living room. The client dreamed of a chef’s kitchen featuring blue accents with an open environment that was lighter and brighter. This was accomplished through significant floor plan and layout revisions to the three primary living areas to create cohesiveness when preparing meals and entertaining guests, both indoors and out.

We worked with a world famous, vegan chef on this sustainable, open and bright kitchen. The space was separated into a cooking area which could be used as a movie set, and a separated clean up space. Durable, but attractive materials were used in this kitchen that opens up to a family room and edible garden.

Welcome to our latest kitchen renovation project, where classic French elegance meets contemporary design in the heart of Great Falls, VA. In this transformation, we aim to create a stunning kitchen space that exudes sophistication and charm, capturing the essence of timeless French style with a modern twist. Our design centers around a harmonious blend of light gray and off-white tones, setting a serene and inviting backdrop for this kitchen makeover. These neutral hues will work in harmony to create a calming ambiance and enhance the natural light, making the kitchen feel open and welcoming. To infuse a sense of nature and add a striking focal point, we have carefully selected green cabinets. The rich green hue, reminiscent of lush gardens, brings a touch of the outdoors into the space, creating a unique and refreshing visual appeal. The cabinets will be thoughtfully placed to optimize both functionality and aesthetics. Throughout the project, our focus is on creating a seamless integration of design elements to produce a cohesive and visually stunning kitchen. This goal of this studio condo remodel was to make the space feel like a high-end hotel suite. This condo is the client's city place - their home away from home and they wanted it to feel like a luxury escape. The walnut and white matte lacquer cabinets provide a crisp, yet warm and cozy feel in the space. The walnut bath vanity is a perfect contrast to the clean white walls and tile.

Los clientes me contactaran para realizar una reforma de la área living de su casa porque no se sentían a gusto con los espacios que tenían, ya que eran muy cerrados, obstruyan la luz y no eran prácticos para su estilo de vida. De este modo, lo primero que sugerimos ha sido tirar las paredes del hall de entrada, eliminar el armario empotrado en esa área que también bloqueaba el espacio y la pared maestra divisoria entre la cocina y salón. Hemos redistribuido el espacio para una cocina y hall abiertos con una península que comunican con el comedor y salón. El resultado es un espacio living acogedor donde toda la familia puede convivir en conjunto, sin ninguna barrera. La casa se ha vuelto mas luminosa y comunica también con el espacio exterior. Los clientes nos comentaran que muchas veces dejan la puerta del jardín abierta y pueden estar cocinando y viendo las plantas del exterior, lo que para ellos es un placer. Los muebles de la cocina se han dibujado à medida y realizado con nuestro carpintero de confianza. Para el color de los armarios se han realizado varias muestras, hasta que conseguimos el tono ideal, ya que era un requisito muy importante. Todos los electrodomésticos se han empotrado y hemos dejado a vista 2 nichos para dar mas ligereza al mueble y poder colocar algo decorativo. Cada vez más el espacio entre salón y cocina se diluye, entonces dibujamos cocinas que son una extensión de este espacio y le llamamos al conjunto el espacio Living o zona día. A nivel de materiales, se han utilizado, tiradores de la marca italiana Formani, la encimera y salpicadero son de Porcelanosa Xstone, fregadero de Blanco, grifería de Plados, lámparas de la casa francesa Honoré Deco y papel de pared con hojas tropicales de Casamance.

The homeowners’ desire for a contemporary, but welcoming, kitchen guided material and finish choices. Not wanting to part with their beautiful existing South American Amodium floor, the designer located more material to weave almost seamlessly in with the old. Harmonizing with the richness of the floor, light “Driftwood” stained alder perimeter cabinets and painted “Sea Haze” maple cabinets at the island bring a balance of warm and cool tones. Base and tall cabinet pull outs put cooking utensils and pantry items within reach. An asymmetrical wall cabinet layout gives the kitchen a contemporary feel that meets the homeowners’ aesthetics. Additionally, the backsplash acts as a strong focal point with bold veining, which is book-matched not directly across the backsplash, but moving from behind the cooktop across to the island at the work station sink bringing the space together.
