KITCHEN DESIGN – TIMOTHY JAMES INTERIORS We offer a full kitchen design service to our residential clients. Many of the interior design projects we work on include a new kitchen, and it is often the centrepiece of the home. Taking your unique requirements into account, we design kitchens that function perfectly for you and your family – and of course, look fabulous! Some of the kitchens we design are custom-made by our expert joiners and specialists. We can also work alongside your own chosen kitchen company, should you have one already appointed for your project. Alternatively, some of our projects involve decorating and furnishing houses around an existing kitchen. Any of these setups can work equally well in its own way. The kitchens we design are meticulously planned, ensuring they are laid out in the most stylish and functional way possible. We take a detailed brief of your requirements so that your kitchen is designed around your lifestyle, giving you a space that is fully optimised for cooking, storage and entertaining. Our kitchens are carefully designed in keeping with your property and the overall aesthetic of the project. As with all our designs we take great pride in creating kitchens that enhance your home in every way possible, adding value as an investment and in day to day use. Our kitchen designs are presented through photo-realistic 3D visuals, floor plans and sample boards containing all of our chosen finishes and fixtures. This is given to you for approval along with the rest of your interior design package. We provide a full technical drawing package as required, which can be given to our skilled craftsmen for fabrication. Throughout the specification and construction stages we coordinate everything to ensure it’s a smooth process for all, and everything is carried out in line with our designs.

We had to be careful on this project because our client cuts Kevin's hair! They had already had the loft conversion carried out by a loft conversion company but were looking for someone to build the extension. When presented with the plans, Kevin was horrified to see what a terrible use of space there was and immediately persuaded the clients to pay for a session with a fantastic local architect, who massively improved the scheme with the movement of a few walls. For this project Kevin had to "invent" fixed panes of roof lights complete with self-designed and installed gutter system as the extremely expensive fixed lights the architect had required were uneconomical based on the project value. In keeping with refusing to use artificial roof slates, the ground floor extension is fully slated and has a seamless aluminium gutter fitted for a very clean appearance. Using our in-house brick matching expert Robert, we were able to almost identically match the bricks and, if you look at the loft conversion, you will see what happens when you don't pay attention to detail like this. Inside we fitted a brand new kitchen over underfloor heating and a utility room with a downstairs wc, but the most striking feature can be seen in the photos and this is the 6-pane bi-fold door system. Once again, we were blessed with a client with good taste in design and everything she has chosen hugely complements the excellent building work.

Including a breakfast bar into the design, means the space becomes social, where all the family and friends can enjoy.

This kitchen is a recent installation from the Horsham area, it has been designed by George from our Horsham showroom and installed by our local installation team. This kitchen has been designed to be a sociable open space, with German Nobilia furniture used to create a breakfast bar and TV unit. The touch door used is by far one of our most popular from our Horsham showroom with many recent installations utilising its silky matt texture in the kitchen. The touch range is a common choice as it can be used with traditional handles or in handleless form as shown, creating an ultra-modern space. The Alpine White shade used in this kitchen is one of seven available in the touch range which in this kitchen is nicely complemented by a stainless-steel handrail, allowing space to access storage areas. This kitchen makes use of several unique features that Nobilia offer including red wine storage, a translucent glass panel cabinet and matching tv unit furniture. The standout feature however in this kitchen is the stunning golden glass splashback that even features a smooth curved edge. The gold theme has been carried on with gold accents used in the kitchen lighting and other decorations.
