Modern Home Interiors and Exteriors, featuring clean lines, textures, colors and simple design with floor to ceiling windows. Hardwood, slate, and porcelain floors, all natural materials that give a sense of warmth throughout the spaces. Some homes have steel exposed beams and monolith concrete and galvanized steel walls to give a sense of weight and coolness in these very hot, sunny Southern California locations. Kitchens feature built in appliances, and glass backsplashes. Living rooms have contemporary style fireplaces and custom upholstery for the most comfort. Bedroom headboards are upholstered, with most master bedrooms having modern wall fireplaces surounded by large porcelain tiles. Project Locations: Ojai, Santa Barbara, Westlake, California. Marc and Mandy Maister were clients and fans of Cantoni before they purchased this harbor home on Balboa Island. The South African natives originally met designer Sarah Monaghan and Cantoni CEO Michael Wilkov at a storewide sale, and quickly established a relationship as they bought furnishings for their primary residence in Newport Beach. So, when the couple decided to invest in this gorgeous second home, in one of the ritziest enclaves in North America, they sought Sarah’s help in transforming the outdated 1960s residence into a modern marvel. “It’s now the ultimate beach house,” says Sarah, “and finished in Cantoni from top to bottom—including new Bontempi cabinetry installed throughout.” Lucas Chichon

Our Studio Kitchen display - a balance of white, glass fronted, wall units with Grey Vintage Oak base units, matte white channel handles and a beautiful Caesarstone Worktop. All complemented with a split splashback of Antique Mirror and a Patterned Tile.

Style aesthetic combines earthy, industrial, rustic and cozy elements. Kitchen cabinetry, small cooktop, combination microwave/convection and refrigerator are all located along one wall, including a beverage center. The peninsula houses the sink and dishwasher creating a fully functional kitchen and counter-top height seating area.

Kitchen & Dining Everyone hangs out here anyway so make it a destination room! The cabinets are custom crafted by Benchcraft Custom Woodwork, out of Rift Sawn Oak finished in a warm gray stain. The accented island in grey creates the perfect backdrop for The Artistic Tile Estrella Silver Blend, adding sparkle and dimension. The perimeter stone is Pietra de Cardosa and the island stone is Blanco Karibi edged in a reverse bevel. The bright red Currey Pendants add a touch of whimsy admidst the neutral sophistication while in contrast, The Dornbracht faucet adds a bit of edginess.
